RBKC councillor claiming that the borough has completed "hundreds of additional tracks and lanes"
Does anyone know where they are?
The @SafeCycleLDN map still shows that the borough is devoid of any cycle friendly streets. Zero protected lane and no low traffic LTN areas.

Thank uou for sharing a 4 year old plan. This is a great example of the work we have done in the past 4 years. All pink lanes have been completed in addition to hundreds of additional tracks and lanes. Cycle lanes that I use daily. We have also approved 2 more lanes this month.
This post covers the 'pink' supposed cycleway. I've ridden it and theres basically nothing there on the ground - no reduction in traffic, no protection

Shared space with buses is not cycle infra. It's marginally better than nothing and lets people cycling safely bypass queues of other vehicles. But people on bikes sharing space with 12 ton buses is neither safe nor inclusive and even wide bus lanes do not allow safe passes.

If you want to read an error-free and much less political piece about @TfL "institutionally unsafe" franchised Bus Operation in the @_TheLondoner, I highly recommend @kareninagarden report from January 2025. I encourage her to publish more about buses! 😉 the-londoner.co.uk/londons-b…
It’s a whole new level of delusion and gaslighting to blame the poor safety record of London buses on the person who has done the most to publicise it

Gaslighter of the Decade Award goes to @TfL Chair @MayorofLondon who has ignored 10 years of Bus Drivers’ @LondonAssembly @KeithPrinceAM @NeilGarratt relentless reporting of Unsafe Working Conditions that make London’s Bus Operation among the Least Safe of its ‘World City’ Peers.
Danger to cyclists is the fault of the people who campaign for safer cycling
Danger from buses is the fault of the people campaigning for bus safety.
Madder than mad jack mcmad.
Yes, the correct approach to these 'modern day full kit cyclists' riding considerately on the pavement alongside busy A10, which has no safe space for cycling, is to block their way and shout at them.

The latest 2025 Inrix (out a month earlier) didn't have London top. And there many criticisms of Inrix methodology from different angles - where it's data comes from, what it measures, the economic values it attributes.
Compact, walkable, cities like London score badly.
What has changed in London since the introduction of main road cycleways, LTNs and dockless hire bikes is that cycling is definitely no longer dominated by 'youngish professional men' (if it ever really was).
John Stewart (anti-active travel and Noise campaigner) has written another blog! Lets have a look...
Here we go - the intro paragraph is true. Nothing to argue with here.
But it's alright, we've got uncoated, unfunded, unevidenced and caveated proposals.
Replacing cars with buses isn't going to reduce noise (have you heard how loud buses can be?)
Bold decisions are needed (but duck the one - road user pricing - that will actually work)
