PHOTO: Government, through the Ministry of Works and Transport, has contracted Japan’s ZENITAKA Corporation to undertake the construction of the new Karuma Bridge at a cost of Shs98.4 billion (approximately $24 million).
The project is expected to take 36 months to complete, with Oriental Consultants Global tasked with overseeing the works and ensuring that the Japanese contractor delivers the project within the agreed timeframe.
According to project documents seen by this reporter, the new Karuma Bridge will be a three-span structure measuring 245 metres in length and 11.5 metres in width.
The project will be financed by the Japanese government through its development agency, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), under the Japan Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan programme.

Residents who have lost their water meters are urged to report to the police to reclaim their property.

Life is really short, Kapere was to perform on 27th.Nov 2026 at Movic with King Saha but now he has no life.
