Has your life improved in the last 100 days? In any way? Have your bills gone down? Do you feel richer? Safer? Has your local community improved at all? For the average person, the answer is a resounding NO. Burnham is making tweaks as broken Britain slides further into terminal decline. He’s a talker, not a doer. He hasn’t changed the country one bit so far, and isn’t going to. We need fundamental change - and that's what I will bring. In our first 100 days, we will: Put the Royal Navy in the Channel and stop the boats forever. Begin the mass exit of over 1 million people who illegally entered Britain. We will make it impossible to live here illegally, so many will leave voluntarily. But, make no mistake, the deportation of those who don’t will be enforced. We will increase your tax-free personal allowance from £12,570 to £15,000 to keep money in your pocket. We’ll reduce your annual energy bills by £250. We’ll charge NO interest on loans for nursing students, lift the cap on medical school places and cut student loan issuance by 20%. If my ministers fail to deliver, I'll sack them. Simple as. The stakes have never been higher. It's time we have a government that acts like it.

Andy Burnham reminding us that “free movement” really means “lower British wages” Ofcourse he was a Corbynista Brexiteer in 2016 @DPJHodges
There is nothing socialist about a system of free movement that is used by multi-nationals to undermine wages. WATCH my Brexit speech today.

Let me correct that headline UK holding talks with the EU about a return to British workers competing for lower wages with cheap foreign workers living 10 to the HMO and only allowing workplaces that only speak Polish That’s fixed it @jon_trickett @DPJHodges

Let’s call “freedom of movement” what it is It’s British workers competing for lower wages with cheap foreign workers living 10 to the HMO That’s exactly why 422 British working class constituencies voted to leave the EU “Freedom of movement” = modern slavery @DPJHodges

Just lies
Re-upping this Makerfield focus group from last week in light of headlines around PM re-opening convo on EU. I thought he’d get a Brexit backlash. But my big surprise in group was that nearly all these leave voters had regret & open to PM’s look again m.youtube.com/watch?v=7JdmZQ…

Cheating on “gambling” is not a matter for the Courts No one is forced to accept a bet
BREAKING: Ex-Tory director of campaigning Anthony Lee has been spared jail at Southwark Crown Court after he admitted cheating at gambling on the date of the 2024 general election.

Dan - I think your mate Burnham has a big problem It appears voters are tactically voting against this foul Labour government @DPJHodges P.s. Hitler was jailed by Germany in the 1920s for his socialist views
Tories win all three local by elections in England last night - one gain apiece from Labour, the Greens and Independents

Brexit didn't cause the structural hollowing out of our economy; the 2008 crash did. The EU isn't a progressive haven, rejoining won't fix our problems. It's a distraction from the real task: a rupture with neoliberal orthodoxy. My piece for @politicshome buff.ly/eW4uUl3

No they show it’s become so common place, no one bothers to report it
🚨 New figures show that knife crime is down by 11% and overall homicides are down by 7%, since July 2024. Fatal knife attacks are also at their lowest level in 35 years.

“With tactical voting” - the problem is the “tactic” in this poll is to vote against Reform when in reality all “tactical voting” under FPTP is against the incumbent government (that’s what happened to the Sunak government in 2024 and in the Makerfield by-election to bring down the Starmer government) In my opinion “with tactical voting” this poll would show a Reform clear lead @DPJHodges

Le Pen has already said “no deal” without cross party support
The fullest plan yet for Britain to rejoin the European Union has been published in the wake of the Prime Minister’s call for a closer relationship with the bloc. Today the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), an influential centre-left think tank, publishes two substantial reports laying out the most serious approach yet to rejoining the EU, as Andy Burnham’s pro-European tilt begins to take on a life of its own. No replies - only an idiot is going to reopen the debate about Scottish independence - Scots have no interest in devolution - all this does is force another independence referendum which they will probably win as the average age of a Scots voter is over 60 - and they all support independence
Devolution was never meant to stop at Holyrood’s door. We have one of the strongest devolved Parliaments in Europe and yet we’re still one of its most centralised nations. We want to change that & want to work with the Scottish Government to empower Scotland’s regions.
