The "WoW Forever won't be as good as OSRS" crowd is huffing paint thinner.
Daily player count is not how many people are in the game.
The 500k figure is the total amount of game accounts that exist.
Concurrent player numbers dance in the 90k-145k.
PAID EARLY ACCESS Olympus members across both realms totaled ~104k
Total server size was roughly 418k.

There are literally more members in Olympus Guild in WoW Forever than the entire player base of OSRS. And that was just the paid beta.
You people are so far up your asses you can't see the forest for the trees.
WoW Forever is not going to be as successful as OSRS for this simple reason:
OSRS started with the original concept and built out from it slowly, only bringing in updates that over 70% of the community voted for.
WoW Forever already has HUGE changes from the original concept, (many that nobody asked for), and the game hasn’t even released yet.
Blizzard thinks it knows best, Jagex listens to the players. (I hope I’m wrong btw)

The racial changes in WoW Forever are not even close to concrete.
This was a hasty move likely encouraged by someone who lacked any kind of foresight.
Also whoever pulled the trigger on these changes should have their job up for review.
