If you asked me on any given day: “You can only watch/follow one conference all season, what would it be?”, my answer would rotate because I have a handful. The MEAC is one of them. If you exclusively watched this league, you’d enjoy the ‘26-27 season immensely!

As Navy senior guard Zanai Barnett-Gay heads into the 2026-27 season, she stands firmly established as one of the most dynamic, high-scoring, and suffocating two-way guards in mid-major women's basketball.
Having already captured Patriot League Rookie of the Year and back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year honors—while also earning recognition on the USBWA Ann Meyers Drysdale and Becky Hammon National Player of the Year watch lists—Barnett-Gay has completely rewritten the Mids' record books.
She tied the program's all-time DI record to reach the 1,000-point milestone faster than anyone in Navy history, coming off a stellar sophomore campaign where she averaged 19.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.
Possessing elite perimeter quickness, relentless defensive instincts, and more than capable three-level scoring, Barnett-Gay enters her final campaign ready to lead the program as an absolute national standout. ⚓️🏀 #NavyWBB #ncaaw #PatriotLeague #WBB
If you live in New England, have any interest in basketball and hoops history, and have never been to Memorial Gym - get there this season as it will be your last chance to experience the magic captured there. You’re transported to another time/era as you soak in college hoops.
Home sweet home 🏟😍
Recently our staff had the chance to tour the future home of the Black Bears: Morse Arena

For sure this @A10WBB season will provide one of the most interesting races the conference has seen in recent memory. Between coaching transitions, roster changes, and depth of talent, plus high upsides for virtually every team, I’m so stoked to watch this race unfold!
One of the must follow, must watch leagues for ‘26-27. The Ivy women is in my top handful of most anticipated conference races

ONE. MONTH. 🏀⏳
The countdown to 2026-27 #NCAAWBB season is officially ON.
This ⬇️ - despite the audio quality this is worth the listen to rejuvenate your faith in college basketball. What Tony is saying is palpable from outside the program. No staff out there that embodies “family” more than @SHUWBB.
The @BIGEASTWBB is loaded with coaches who could motivate anybody to run through walls for them. Erin Batth is one of those coaches. “I got a lot of energy. I look for high energy players.” One of the reasons the Friars are on the upswing in her fourth year building.
When Coach Haney gets excited about your prospects as a team because you bring “a level of joy and excitement about the game,” you are definitely poised to exceed your preseason ranking. Coach sees a “higher vision” than 8th in the league . . . I agree.
