A failed business idea doesn't mean you are incapable of building a successful business. It may mean your timing, pricing, market research, or execution needs improvement.

When I worked Senior Soc Analyst for an msp company. I didnt have tools that would helped me in my career so I had to do research. Some tools listed here, I used at work because it was free and I was the first person in charge of building our soc team. My manager threw the key to me and gave me access to AWS, GCP, Azure and Google admin, etc. Here are some free Tools that helped me in Soc: browserling.com/ Application that opens urls in sandbox and its free. This will show you if the website is legit or not. virustotal.com/gui/home/uplo… free tool to scan a pdf file or even a url. ipinfo.io/ verify ip addresses haveibeenpwned.com/ free tool to check if your password or email address has been breached in the past. mxtoolbox.com/ This test will list MX records for a domain in priority order. The MX lookup is done directly against the domains authoritative name server. toolbox.googleapps.com/apps/… talosintelligence.com/reputa… The Talos Intelligence Center is the world’s most comprehensive real-time threat detection network. snort.org/ intrusion detection system zeek.org/ monitoring tool mailscanner.info/ MailScanner is a highly respected open source email security system design for Linux-based email gateways. It is used at over 40,000 sites around the world, protecting top government departments, commercial corporations and educational institutions. This technology has fast become the standard email solution at many ISP sites for virus protection and spam filtering. spamassassin.apache.org/ Apache SpamAssassin is the #1 Open Source anti-spam platform giving system administrators a filter to classify email and block spam virustotal.github.io/yara/ YARA is a tool aimed at (but not limited to) helping malware researchers to identify and classify malware samples. Simon Koeck (@soeckly) earned $90,000 from Google after finding a DevSite vulnerability that let him run commands on Google's servers. The attack came down to 3 security mistakes that chained together. 1. A secret exposed in a session cookie Google's DevSite stored a pickled OAuth object inside a Flask session cookie, including its `client_secret`. The cookie was signed, but not encrypted. That means users couldn't modify it without invalidating the signature, but they could still decode and read its contents. So the researcher decoded the cookie and extracted the `client_secret`. 2. The same secret was used to sign cookies Normally, servers use a private key to sign session cookies so they can detect tampering. But DevSite used that exposed `client_secret` to derive its cookie-signing key. With the secret in hand, the researcher could now forge his own session cookies with valid signatures that Google's servers would accept. 3. Google used Python's `pickle` to deserialize cookie data `pickle` lets Python save objects as data and reconstruct them later. The problem is that loading malicious pickle data can execute arbitrary code. DevSite used `pickle` to restore an OAuth flow object from the session cookie. Since the researcher could forge valid cookies, he could replace the original pickled object with a malicious payload. Here's how the full attack worked: 1. Decode the session cookie and extract the `client_secret`. 2. Use that secret to derive the cookie-signing key. 3. Forge a valid session cookie containing a malicious pickle payload. 4. Send the cookie to DevSite and trigger the OAuth callback. 5. DevSite validates the cookie signature, deserializes the pickle, and executes the payload. To prove RCE, he made Google's server execute a command that delayed its response by a few seconds. The response times matched the delays. The takeaway: Three issues combined into one critical vulnerability: - Secret exposure → The signing key could be derived. - Key reuse → An attacker could forge trusted session cookies. - Unsafe deserialization → Forged data could execute code on the server. #BugBounty tip: Decode session cookies when testing applications. Signed doesn't mean encrypted, and sensitive information inside a cookie might be enough to compromise the mechanism protecting it. Full write-up 👇 simonkoeck.com/writeups/goog…

STOP TAKING SCREENSHOTS OF AI AGENTS SAYING "🚨 CRITICAL FINDING" You're embarrassing yourself and the entire community... Did you validate this? Is this real? If you didn't do your own due diligence then you're just fearmongering for no reason.
Leaving this here, PHP 8.5.12 security patch is incomplete. ( needs further validation )

The PHP 8.5.12 release fixes the two specific CVEs (via state/bailout changes) detailed in official advisories; referenced "surviving paths" (e.g. var_destroy UAF) are separate pre-existing unserialize issues unrelated to this patch. php.net/archive/2026.p… github.com/php/php-src/se… github.com/php/php-src/se… github.com/dinosn/php-8.5…
