Since it’s raining and you can’t play golf in #dfw today or tomorrow, why not read about golf and the recently renovated Irving Golf Club and then plan your trip there when the sun comes back out?!?! #golf #avidgolfer #irving

Played another fun @ColliganGolf yesterday @rangersgolfclub. Texas-sized scale of features fit the property well. Lots of variety, plenty of width, some nice visual deception here & there, and of course, greens with tons of interest. Fairly firm conditions made it even better.
Thanks @jordanpowell ! – at Dallas, TX
Congrats to @ColliganGolf! Have played 3 of their courses in the metroplex this summer & really enjoy the touch of “modern” design they’re bringing to DFW. Don’t always have to shell out big $ to play layouts in same vein as Coore/Crenshaw, Hanse, etc. pgatour.com/korn-ferry-tour/…

Thanks @GCImagazine and @GCIMagazineGuy for the time, John had a great time visiting about golf and a little football.
Yes, you can compare a golf course to a spouse, says architect John Colligan. The Texan drops a number of other great one-liners in our latest Tartan Talks podcast. golfcourseindustry.com/video…

Teed it up at the new Irving Golf Club close to downtown Dallas. Very cool @ColliganGolf design with grass faced features. Loved the double plateau green on hole 2 and spectacle bunkers on hole 14. Got up and down out of the front bunker on 18 with a niblick to tie my match 💪
Awesome, glad you made it out there! – at Mesquite, TX

3 pm heat indices across North and Central Texas. Some of the highest readings in the #DFW area that we've seen all summer. Take heat safety seriously - don't "John Wayne" it out there this afternoon.

A great chance to remember that according to a 2018 survey from @GolfChannel, the median cost for an 18-hole round at a public golf course is just $36, including cart. There are countless outstanding courses to be played across North America. Get out and tee it up this weekend!
We are excited to announce Irving Golf Club will reopen on August 31st. Here is the link with all of the details cityofirving.org/1337/Golf-C… $35 on the weekend for Irving residents! $45 for everyone else. #irvinggolfclub #affordablegolf @golfwithelite
