Gender self-ID is a bad move for loads of reasons - allowing it for 16 year olds just adds a whole load more problems to it. Here's hoping the whole thing is rethought. 🤞 dailymail.co.uk/news/article…

This is a really bad mistake by the Crown Estate. Stonewall's schemes are not something respectable organisations should associate with. telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/09…

The NHS exists to help us stay healthy. 🏥 It shouldn't be pushing divisive ideological nonsense, or describing the extremist BLM as a "healing" movement... 🤦🏻‍♀️ telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/09…

Grim. Maybe the protestors will be sued by the poor woman concerned? It just shows why the police need to deal with these "protests" much more promptly. mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/mu…

I think is right and precisely put by @VictoriaPeckham, on understanding the Brexit divide (though it can be applied to lots of divisive issues). thetimes.co.uk/article/broke…

For clarity, as women raising concerns often get accused of this: these concerns do *not* stem from an irrational fear that trans people are more likely to be sex offenders, but the risk of male sex offenders exploiting self-ID to access spaces where offences are easily committed

I’m interested in what Nicola Sturgeon means when she says women’s concerns about this are “not valid”. That these sorts of instances are anomalies and we shouldn’t worry about sex offenders doing this? That there are risks, but they’re outweighed by the benefits of self-ID?

This is why it’s so concerning to see women raising good faith concerns about male sex offenders - including voyeurs and exhibitionists - using self-ID as a pass to access spaces where women get undressed - dismissed out-of-hand as “transphobic”.

I want to listen to the full interview, or read the full transcript, before I believe a word of this. I have personal experience of the ease with which people can be smeared by selective quotation. I'm sure Vice won't object to publishing the whole thing - right @BenInLDN ?

Ex-BBC LGBT correspondent Ben Hunte takes statements out of context to attack Kemi Badenoch. We are very grateful to @KemiBadenoch for recognising that 'Equalities' includes women and girls and their rights to the protection of single-sex spaces.

The reshuffle is ongoing, but it's a relief to see @KemiBadenoch & @trussliz keep the equalities briefs. They've done an great job of building on the common ground & resisting the demands of those with divisive & extreme views. Here's to sensible policies on sensitive issues!

This bodes well from the new Culture Secretary...
Left wing snowflakes are killing comedy, tearing down historic statues, removing books from universities, dumbing down panto, removing Christ from Christmas and suppressing free speech. Sadly, it must be true, history does repeat itself. It will be music next.

👏👏👏 @suzanne_moore: "Labour has alienated lifelong members & trade unionists to appease its well-heeled activists. The Green Party, meanwhile, when asked to define what a woman is, simply cannot; it likes to think of women as “non-men”. Cheers, chaps!" telegraph.co.uk/columnists/2…

Excellent piece by @OliverDowden on the many problems when activists take over charities: "...they not only distract charities from their core missions but also waste large amounts of time & money." telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/09…
