Sure, anyone could *administer* anaesthesia.
Doing it safely & being prepared for all the sudden curve balls is quite another thing.
Anaesthetists are amongst the most highly skilled, intelligent & cool under fire doctors you'll find in a hospital.

Attended a private lunch with 100 or so top industry people. Chattam house rules, so can't disclose names.
But here's the download
1. The likely solution will be a hard fork.
2. The fate of P2PK address does not need be "confiscation". An "hourglass" approach which rate limits these old coins into new addresses could spread the risk out to 8 months -- buying more time.
3. Unfortunately, there will be no canaries. We won't know the asteroid is hitting us until there is a crater the size of NY.
4. Big money *should* fund some kind of technical think tank to discuss the "consensus solution". The time to do this is now. I call on Fidelity, Blackrock, Mara and Strategy to open up their wallets.
5. Ultimately we may fail. After the orange pill comes the black pill. Would you like a pine casket or an oak one?
