To anyone who thinks calling me old is an insult, it’s not. I am so pleased to reach my 67 years. My 67 year old face is my avatar. I don’t need to pretend to be anyone else or a younger version of myself, because I’m comfortable in my skin, I love being my age. I have arrived.

The greatest injustice is not that we are bigoted but the denial of bigotry as such denial deprives those at the receiving end the legitimacy of their experience

Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry - all forms of fear - are caused by too much future, and not enough presence. Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness, and all forms of nonforgiveness are caused by too much past, and not enough presence.

As we gradually learn to let go of the struggle against our experience, we make way for the emergence of courage, curiosity and joy.
