Today @uniofbrighton has announced its intention to make more than 100 redundancies saving £17.9m. But our SMT have just SPENT a similar amount buying Virgin Active out of a lease.
We will fight this failure of management.
RT to support our fight!

Excellent article here by @asburyandasbury on how the corporate embrace of a ‘social purpose’ agenda in arts education is far from the self-evidently good thing it sees in the mirror substack.com/notes/post/p-11…

This group exhibition includes work by artists who were part of Conditions Studio Programme between 2019 and 2021.
Despite all of this, we are now presenting a group show across 2 spaces of more than 30 artists who have worked with Conditions over this period.
The studios were empty for many months and we moved aspects of the programme online, with a lot of support and patience from our Associates and studio artists. Many artists were impacted by the pandemic and there were a lot of changes in the studios.
