KS2 - Christmas with the Krackers.
The children all worked so hard, designing and making props, helping each other with learning lines, coming up with their own costumes ideas - the amount they did for their own play is just amazing and we love having it @newmechanics
Christmas Lunch 2025 - Thank you Mr Del for working so hard over so many hours to cook an amazing Coniston family feast that we all thoroughly enjoyed!
Lots of compliments to chef 👩🍳

Well done to the team who attended the Penathlon Kurling event at Furness Academy. They represented school so well and was super excited to be playing this for the first time. 😊
In Class 1 we have been exploring the questions: ‘Why do Christian’s perform Nativity plays?’ and ‘How do Christians celebrate Jesus’ birthday?’ We’ve talked lots about birthdays and related this to how Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. #ConistonCEPrimaryRE
Our Coniston Mural is complete!
Our mural journey started this time last year. Sophie made her first visit to CPS, complimented our ‘Coniston vibe’, acknowledging our family feel school community. Talks turned in to how we could embrace this further and our mural idea was born!
In Maths in Class 2, we have been looking at tens and ones in 2 digit numbers. The children impressed me by showing this in part-whole models 🤩 #ConistonCEPrimaryMaths
Last week, Class 4 participated in a Digital Wellbeing Workshop, which is part of the Screen Savvy Kids campaign in Cumbria!
Sophie Martin led the workshop and taught us all about the ABCDS of digital wellbeing.
We created logos and slogans to help spread the word!
In Class 1 we have been learning about hygiene. We talked about how to wash and look after ourselves properly then we cleaned baby dolls in the water tray. We learnt about teeth and how to keep them healthy, including what we can eat and that we should clean them regularly! 🦷
Huge thanks again to everyone who supported the cake stall and Children in Need.
The children came to their school council meeting telling us that this was what they wanted to do for Children in Need, so we are thrilled that it was a huge success for them 🥰
We raised £206.90!
Thank you to everyone who came to our Harvest Festival this morning at St Andrew’s Church, and donated food or money for the Windermere Food Bank. We hope you enjoyed it!
Wishing all of our Coniston CE Primary community a lovely half term break😊
This afternoon Class 4 attended Holy Trinity Church in Kendal. They took part in multi media interactive activities to explore the relevance of Jesus today. The session ended with a tour of the church and some brass rubbings that they all really enjoyed. ☺️ #ConistonCEPrimary
Class 3 were excited to open their latest letters from their South Korean pen pals! They have sent lots of Korean sweets for us to try, some interesting flavours and super sour! #ConistonCEPrimaryGlobalNeighbours #ConistonCEPrimaryClass3
We’re all super proud of 2 Class 4 boys who ran in the John Ruskin fell race yesterday. They absolutely smashed it and came 9th, 19.56 mins, and 10th place, 20.00 mins, out of 212 students! Wow 🤩 😮 🏃♀️ 👏 #ConistonCEPrimaryJRSFellRace #ActiveCumbria
We were joined by Open the Book for assembly on Wednesday where they shared the story of Creation from the Lion Storyteller Bible, Bob Hartman. A very interactive assembly that the children all loved! #ConistonCEPrimaryCollectiveWorship
