I was honored to represent the residents of District 9 in the Louisiana State Senate. My concentrations were education and economic development

The definition of "useful idiot"- a union worker in Michigan obeying union bosses by voting for El-Sayed who would destroy their sweetheart healthcare insurance

Why doesn't the media look into the linkage of Progressive/socialist policies of the last hundred years to the breakdown of social order and family structure resulting in growing poverty, bad education outcomes, and a myriad of social ills? Inconvenient subject matter?

Sounds great, what specific changes to the New Orlenas economic climate are needed to attract related industries to our region? What statutes, ordinances, and policies must be reformed?
SpaceX is coming to Louisiana. Is your company ready to join them? 🚀 Greater New Orleans is ready to launch your company expansion. From Apollo, to the space shuttle, Artemis and what’s next, we’ve been at the center of human spaceflight manufacturing for over 65 years.

We need a simple City dashboard that links arrests by general category, to previous arrests and convictions, bond data, prosecutions, and then adjudications and sentencing. Its great to make arrests, but if the DA or courts are just turning then loose what good does that do.

Wow! Where was this passion when the last President ignored, or more likely was manipulated into, attempting to destroy our sovereignty and rights by opening the border to tens of millions illegal immigrants. That was a truly evil, a violation of his oath to protect our democracy

They don't want to "understand". The Democrats' whole goal is to create fear and jealousy by twisting facts. Sure SpaceX will save a lot on some taxes that we wouldn't have gotten any other way, but in return we get an opening to a whole new economy and new tax opportunities.

Don’t you understand that there isn’t $27 billion to give away? Local & state governments get ZERO unless Space X comes to Louisiana except for a pittance in currently paid property taxes. You either are dense & really don’t understand or you’re being disingenuous (i.e. lying) Vermillion parish finally has a chance to rise out of poverty & you people want to destroy the chance

License plate reader cameras have been in Jefferson Parish for a long time. Privacy is protected, so no complaints from citizens, just a lot of bad guys in jail that wouldn't have been. What inocent citizen cares if cops know they were on the Interstate, the people are protected.

The answer to increased prosperity isn't unconstitutional race based handouts, it's a commitment to a growth economy. What he expresses will actually result in less economic opportunity as it drives business away.
Government contracts in exchange for... voting? Hasn't patronage been a huge problem in New Orleans, @freddiekingiii? @LAGovJeffLandry #lalege

This discussion is the wrong issue...it's not what are, it's what we were and what, if we refocused our policies and effort, we could be again.
In today's Times-Picayune.... All figures cited are for the seven-parish Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), not the city proper.

Teachers are employees of District Boards, not the state. In order to increase pay as we should budgets must be cut, and/or taxes increased. Voters don't trust spending by Boards, nor see the linkage to quality of their life so they don't support taxes. Boards must make the case.
Jefferson Parish teacher raises may be scrapped this year after Gov. Landry’s stipends advance nola.com/news/education/jeff…

I believe that this is the company that announced a 500 person engineering office in New Orleans to support the fabrication yard. We need to find a way to attract more highly educated, upper income people to our community. The introduction of different points of view is healthy.
Don't know anything specific, but think these are being built by @Saronic, so proud to see the Louisiana connection in this effort... along with all the members of US military from LA #lagov 🇺🇸

We are lucky to have Joe. He is the definition of being a public servant.
On a holiday, New Orleans CAO Joe Giarusso has gone BEYOND for my elderly, disabled, veteran tenants. On the morning of July 3rd, directing, organizing, and battling the disordered remnants of past regimes. @jigiarrusso Hot Water finally! 🛀🏾🧼 Much of New Orleans city government’s structure requires revision, but he’s working on it. Our best since Stacy Head battled Nagin. Impressed and grateful. (Ai tenants, they want to dress up for their photo “busy working” in yard prepping for their BBQ. #july 🇺🇸

Actually we must rethink education funding in total, without destroying the great progress we are making. Education results must be the driver in any reform

Elon Musk is a trillionaire, who really cares. Remember that as an American, compared to the promises of a socialist LaLa Land, you ALREADY enjoy far more prosperity and opportunity. No matter your current economic status, with the Democrat's socialism it's all downhill from here

This may be the time to identify state and Federal legislation that drives the number of NGO contracts, staff size, and costs. Perhaps we should scrub the list of statutes with a focus purely on educational outcomes.
Maybe in addition to studying the MFP, we should review (1) all sources of revenue spending, (2) state public policy decisions that have driven increased staffing, & (3) what families have shown they want/need for their kids’ education. #lalege #lagov app.theadvocate.com/article/…

The question must be why are these people coming here to visit, only to go home to where they believe they have a better shot at prosperity? Ask how many companies and jobs these tourists stay here with because they can make profits and keep them?

It seems like every morning when I read the news, another restaurant is closing in New Orleans. My suspicion is that though the atmosphere and food may be great, these places violate the fundamental rule of real estate, location, location, location
