Britain’s debt is now more than £3 trillion. The Government is borrowing just to pay the interest bill. Burnham’s EU fantasy is nothing but a distraction. But what has gone unnoticed by the Remainer media is the fact that the UK’s dire finances would rule out rejoining! EU rules state that national debt should be below 60% of GDP; the UK’s is approaching 100%. And the EU’s deficit limit is 3%. The UK’s is 4.2%. When these rules were drawn up, the concerns centred on Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain – the so-called ‘PIGS’. Today, the UK Government pays higher interest rates on its borrowing than any of them. Sadly, we are now at the bottom of the sty…
PM reiterates what he has previously said, that he'd like the UK to rejoin the EU at some point in his lifetime @GMB

Burnham accused of handing rail unions a ‘blank cheque’ as Labour admit no spending cap on taxpayer-funded union time “It’s crystal clear that Andy Burnham’s Labour Government is repeating Keir Starmer’s mistakes and giving a blank cheque to their trades union paymasters on the trains – this time with so called ‘facility time’ which, in reality, means political campaigning at the expense of passengers and taxpayers.” conservativepost.co.uk/burnh…

Labour’s manifesto promised no return to freedom of movement. Andy Burnham told Makerfield that he would respect the Brexit vote. Now Lab wants Britain to rejoin the EU’s free movement rules, but Angela is gaslighting us into believing that they aren’t.

Alex Norris - Labour's anonymous Justice Secretary - lied to you. He promised every criminal released early would be tagged. He said it would be the toughest regime ever. Now the police are so overwhelmed they're scaling back enforcement of tag breaches.

Heartbreaking & another policy that’s self destructive
“The effects of the family farm tax means we will lose the farm. We are the smallest farm locally. But we have an inheritance tax liability of £600,000. That’s unsustainable for us.”

This is yet another example of Burnham’s foot in mouth syndrome. He hasn’t thought this through or the implications. Most people who voted for Brexit did so because they didn’t want free movement. Too many politicians have failed to understand the significance and impact of immigration on communities. We have had more than enough experience of what happens when politicians (including previous Conservative governments) promise control but fail to deliver it. The answer is to learn from those mistakes, not reopen free movement.

Andy Burnham sold an utterly false prospectus to his own electorate just weeks ago👇 This was, sadly, always the plan. If there was one single aspect of the EU that the majority who voted to leave objected to most, it was surely free movement, and yet that’s what he wants.

The SNP cannot be trusted with taxpayers money. The state is too big. Spending is too high. Scottish taxpayers should not be paying millions each year for jobs that don’t exist. Yes, redundancies are tough. But the private sector has to and does make these decisions. And it’s doing so increasingly at the moment given how business is being treated by both Governments. 👉 When will SNP start respecting the public’s money?

We haven't built a reservoir in this country since 1992. So, increasingly, people are being left without running water, for days at a time. It can't go on like this. We have to take on the blockers who veto every project, and get Britain building.
