What we have collectively achieved in the past year and a bit has been incredible. And Billy. Beautiful Billy. As the clocks go back, for the third time I am finding myself retracing our steps, reliving your suffering, replaying your diagnosis, remembering your trauma, I wanted to share these words from Professor Darren Hargrave from UCL and GOSH. This reminds me why I do what I do now. And maybe a reminder to those of you reading, why you are along for the ride, and why that means so much ❤️‍🩹 Thank you. Please read: ⬇️ “DIPG is one of the most devastating diagnoses a family can face, and for far too long, progress in treating it has been painfully slow. At UCL and Great Ormond Street, my team and I are working to change that, from understanding how these tumours grow and interact with the brain around them to testing new treatment approaches in some of the first clinical trials of their kind for children in the UK. Ongoing and planned clinical trials for DIPG include CAR-T cell, precision medicine, gene therapy and novel drug delivery therapies. Philanthropic support like Billy’s Battalion’s is vital at this stage. It gives us the freedom to follow promising new ideas quickly and flexibly, often before they’re ready for larger government or grant funding. That early backing is often what turns a new idea into the evidence needed for the next big step. I’m hugely grateful to Ellie and everyone who has rallied behind Billy’s Battalion in Billy’s memory. Your support is helping us push forward towards better treatments for children with DIPG and their families.” — Professor Darren Hargrave, GOSH Children’s Charity Clinical Professor in Paediatric Neuro-oncology, UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health ‼️‼️Can we hit £80K in the JustGiving by New Year’s Eve? We are around £14K short of that target. 🎯 Let’s see how much more we can achieve together ❤️‍🩹 Our JustGiving link is in the bio or head here: justgiving.com/page/billysba… Thank you always, from the bottom of my broken heart ❤️‍🩹

The honest side of running a small charity: sometimes it’s really hard. We’re just over five weeks away from our first adult Superhero Mask Ball for Billy’s Battalion at The Boathouse in Guildford. Of the 100 tickets we need to sell, we’ve sold 42. The costs are mounting, and I’m feeling so disheartened. I set up Billy’s Battalion in memory of my little boy, who died from DIPG, an incurable brain tumour, aged four. We’re raising money for research because children like Billy desperately need better options. There’s so much work and hope behind an event like this. Right now, we need some help getting people through the door. Could you come along with friends? Bring your colleagues? Or share this with someone who might enjoy a night out for a cause that means everything to us? Black tie, superhero masks, a buffet, Prosecco on arrival and live music from the Ibiza Band with comedian Alfie Dundas hosting — and a room I’d love to see full of people helping us make a difference in Billy’s name. ❤️‍🩹 Booking link: ticketsource.com/billysbash/…

Obama: "That well-known evil empire Canada. That historical adversary of ours. Canada! *laughs* It's your neighbor. It's a few minutes' drive over the bridge! These are the people who gave us Martin Short and maple syrup. They are the nicest people! And someone we've gotten them so mad."

He’s the definition of a putz, amongst many other nefarious things.
Amazing. Donald and Melania Trump went to vote in Florida today, and reportedly had the polling place cleared of everyone else just so they could make their appearance. Compare that to Joe Biden, who stands in line like an ordinary person and waits his turn to vote. It's mind-boggling that some still call this guy a “man of the people” when he seemingly wants absolutely nothing to do with average Americans. The contrast couldn't be more obvious.

Time for another cognitive test.
⚡️Trump explained how his intelligence is getting out of control. “I wanted to go into this little store in Texas. There was a sign on the door that said ‘PUSH.’ You know, those signs that tell you how to open a door. Very useful things. Those signs are very useful. I pushed the door, and nothing happened. A dead end! It was a dead end! And then I realized something. I turned the sign around, and on the other side it said ‘PULL.’ (applause) I pulled the door open and got into that damn store! (applause) I did it! My intelligence is getting out of control. I don’t know why this is happening, but it keeps growing every single day!” (applause)

Sure. Until they figured out how to get in on the act.
Lindsey Graham: "You know how you make America great again? You tell Donald Trump to go to hell!" JD Vance: "Donald Trump is a really bad candidate and, frankly, a really bad person". Ted Cruz: "Donald, you're a sniveling coward!" Marco Rubio: "Donald Trump is a con artist!"

Trump is CAVING on his Canadian tariffs! He’s removing 50% tariffs on Canadian products including: Cardboard boxes and packaging Plastic crates, bags and containers Refrigeration and freezing equipment Agricultural sorting and grading machinery Packing, sealing and labelling machinery Seaweed and algae products Why? Because his tariffs are hurting American businesses, farmers and consumers, and Republicans are feeling the heat ahead of the midterms! Turns out Canada wasn’t the one that needed to blink first. Trump’s trade war is backfiring, and Americans are paying the price!

Exactly. And instead of filling the car up at astronomical fuel costs, take the bus or stay home. They are all imbeciles who couldn’t manage a lemonade stand.
RFK Jr. suggests Americans can more easily afford groceries if they start eating liver instead of beef: "Most of the cheap cuts of meat are very inexpensive. You can buy liver or the cheap cuts."

As the dementia progresses we’ll find out he’s a flaming bi- sexual; not that there’s anything wrong with that. Oh, and he’s also the co-star in the you-know-what files.
Trump forgets he is in North Carolina and starts talking about Ohio senate candidate Jon Husted. "But I looked at his ass and then I looked at his legs, and it might, his ass, it's like a pile of muscle. "

IMO the real reason he’s cozying up even more to Putin? The GOP needs Russian interference for the midterms. Of course - this isn’t to say he’s not already compromised

He was bad before. But now the nonsense is at its worst as he spirals and flails. The reign of America’s dumbest most inept “president” can’t come soon enough.

A heartfelt thanks to Barney Calman @BarneyCalman and his team at the @DailyMail, not only for the opportunity to write and share part of Billy's story, but for the kindness, care and sensitivity with which they've handled it. Please take the time to read it if you can. It's a difficult journey, and it's long, but I hope it's worth it. It's not about apportioning blame (although there was a time when I could have knocked them all out). It's about making things right. Making things better for the children to come. I can't do that for you now, Billy, but I know you're right there with me, every single step of the way. As I promised you after you died, and again in this article: "I will fight for little ones like you. Because I'm not sure what else I am supposed to do if I can't do that." dailymail.com/health/article…
