There’s very little better in life than seeing the Pogues playing at home. What a show at Brixton Academy last night. Thank you @poguesofficial @spiderstacy @jemfiner
Probably my 7367th @billybragg gig since 1991 but my first in Essex - delighted that Billy took us all for a short, sharp jaunt down the A13.
The great Michael Holding of Jamaica, Derbyshire and the West Indies - this is one to watch.
"Until we educate the entire human race, this thing will not stop."
Michael Holding delivers a powerful message, explaining why #BlackLivesMatter.
Greatest try of all-time? It has to be up there. If only for the sensational hand-off from Gerald Davies.
TMO. “Pull it back please to that pass from Red 10 to Red 12. I want to see if it’s forward. And we can then check the grounding. The on-field decision is ‘try’. What are you seeing Eugene?” #fun

Like a lot of us, sticking with Buzzcocks today. Pete, taking ugly punk and making it beautiful. The best voice on the scene and here, at 2.20, delivering one of pop music's greatest throwaway lines. #WellLetMeTellYouNow

It was wonderful to see @TeenageFanclub at the @EBallroomCamden earlier this week. I’ve been going to their gigs since 91 but none have matched this week’s for the happiness, warmth and the genuine affection being shown by the band. And god, they sounded brilliant. Thanks, Gerry.

To be fair to Putin...
Just because one of the men who poisoned the Skripals was a Russian intelligence operator, it does not mean he was acting under orders. He may have really been an architectural tourist, who then decided at the last minute to do some freelance poisoning
It’s hard to think of the ever bloody marvellous @TeenageFanclub without Gerry Love. Hopefully the guys can sort their differences out. – at Camden Town, London
This was a terrific little beer festival and it was great to see David Kelso Kelley, Allan Scruffy Tyrer and the rest of the boys from Hertford Rugby Club. Well done to @HertfordMuseum and the @newriverbrewery

The fact is that the British loathe Donald Trump
This is because he is the polar opposite of a ‘ Gentleman ‘, who has qualities the British admire. A fine example is Gareth Southgate.
Another fantastic performance from @billybragg at @FolkByTheOak but Bill - today is St Swithin’s day, how come it didn’t make the set list? Really great gig, well done Billy.

England paid for not taking chances & lack of game management experience, but for the first time for a long time I never thought they didn't care/weren't trying/were technically inferior. Beaten by the better team on the day, so, commiserations and congratulations.
Check your carbon monoxide (CO) alarms - if they look like the ones featured by @WhichUK here, you'll need to buy new ones as the likelihood is that they won't detect CO when you need them to. teapawt.org/WhichUK/status/1010063…
Did you buy your carbon monoxide detector online?
If so, make sure it's not one of the ones pulled from Amazon and eBay after Which? raised concerns that they do not work. which.co.uk/news/2018/06/the…
