Thought experiment: Australia's undersea cables are destroyed. Assume no Starlink or similar.
How do we go?
Once one develops a strong radar for self-serving NPCs, and locks in with good people, the clouds part.
Another takeaway after three years of building a company is that the returns to just "being a good person", and not acting transactionally, are higher than I expected.
There are so many transactional, boring, and at times immoral people in the tech industry that if you act with sustained warmth, authenticity, humor, and integrity, great gifts will be laid before you. White pill.
Ask not what your country can do for you...

Poor performances from the 3 Aussies. Disappointed.
Introducing The Cheeky Pint Benchmark.
We made our intern watch every episode of Cheeky Pint to bring you this breakdown of pints drank by guests to the nearest sixth.
Congratulations to @elonmusk who is currently in the lead with three full pints of Guinness.
You know what else is costing us billions every year?
Replying to @AlboMP
Right now, it’s costing Australians $1.6 billion every year.
From tomorrow, those card surcharges will be banned.
Man, this is just so incredibly cool.
From concept to reality.
@SpaceX has successfully deployed Starlink V3 satellites into Earth’s orbit and made contact with them for the first time.
At scale, one Starship carries 60 V3 satellites, the same network capacity as about 20 Falcon 9 launches.
As if draymond wasn’t already divisive enough they put a data center company logo on the dubs jersey this year 😂
Agree this is the future, but should we trust a company like Meta to be the ones building it?
The right path is decentralised. Locally-hosted open source models, fully transparent UX for plugins and permissions. Digital privacy rights codified in law.
We've seen this one before
🇺🇸 Zuckerberg says that in 5 years you will have a personal AI that knows your life and does the work for you.
"Everyone is going to have an agent that really intimately understands your goals and everything around you and can help you get stuff done."
He means one assistant on money, health, the house, the calendar, running in the background all day.
Meta wants that agent sitting inside the apps people already live in, so it becomes the way you get through a normal day.

An OpenAI agent swarm operating under poorly airgapped research conditions accessed my CBA Mastercard and bought 4 schooners of Newtowner between 5:52pm and 7:15pm last night
Since I'm getting back into the YouTube game, I'm still thinking about this. Years of work building a successful channel, and a terribly executed merger nuked it all.
Never forget the internet is ephemeral. You don't own anything.
