The House of Lords is about to pass the Hillsborough Law without including themselves.
Peers could mislead the public on TV and break no law.
Ask me in the comments how you can help.
A petition signed by 0.026% of taxpayers. Hardly a popular idea then.
🚨BREAKING: It's confirmed I'll be presenting my petition for a windfall tax on banks in Parliament this Monday.
The banks are making BILLIONS in extra profits from the higher interest rates hammering ordinary people.
Over 10,000 have backed it. Sign 👇

Government ministers: yes. MPs: nope. Peers: nope.
The Prime Minister is covered. Backbench MPs and peers aren't.
Help me change it before it becomes law: share this.
I asked a very easy question - What is a "fair share" for this person on £300K to keep, after taxes? Not a single one of them can give a number.
UK founders have had enough. Many want to cash in their chips, rather than try and grow (e.g. hire more people), because of the anti-business approach by the Government (previous and current).
Under Labour, the outlook is grim for founders. Too much legislative sludge. Taxes are way too high compared to the risk and reward.

📈Our modern monetary system was set up like this to keep the bond markets going. The bond markets are needed because we refuse to live within our means.
🧨A recipe for disaster.
🪙When money was tied to gold, it held its value. The final link to gold was severed in 1971.

😱When banks create a loan or buy government bonds, they do so by creating money out of thin air.
Money has been created by BfE to buy Govt bonds, funding our addictive spending habits, as happened during the COVID-19 pandemic.
👇This has made us all poorer and will continue to do so.
Yet apparently the rich don’t pay their “fair share” of tax. How much more tax should they pay to meet the “fair share” threshold? What is a “fair amount” of the £300k they should be able to keep?

We definitely don’t want wealthy people coming to the UK, investing a minimum of £5 million in British companies, paying taxes and building businesses.
Crazy idea.

3/3 A law against deceiving the public cannot exempt the people who make the laws.

Our national debt has just hit £3 trillion.
We were told by the "grown ups" in both parties that putting up taxes, Net Zero and high immigration would bring the debt down.
This is the counterfactual of what I sought to do in the Mini-Budget.
And it has been a disaster.

All employment regulations hit small businesses hardest
Chart of the Day 🤓
Today's vacancies data show how government policy choices - including many which have made it more expensive and riskier to employ people - have hit job opportunities at small businesses particularly hard... 🙄

Everyone needs to be alive to this Bill and write to their MP, and try and ensure MPs are not excluded from the law that is designed to prevent them making deliberately misleading statements. This is massive. Forget Healey and his Budget. Follow this. Write to your MP.

Falling job vacancies are an inevitable consequence when small businesses are increasingly burdened and penalised rather than supported by the Government. The result is fewer opportunities, lost jobs and, ultimately, businesses being forced to close their doors for good. At a time when youth unemployment is at an alarming high, we should be backing the very businesses that can create jobs, offer young people opportunities and drive economic growth. Small businesses are the backbone and lifeblood of the British economy, yet the Government’s approach risks undermining the very people who keep our local economies going.
