The NT Government broke a promise for $12m over four years for NT Aboriginal Ranger Grants. Funding for key equipment like vehicles, boats, worksheds, project funding, quad bikes, chainsaws. Ask the govt to restore the funding here. countryneedspeople.org.au/nt…

When government's make clear promises they need to keep them. @LiaFinocchiaro MLA and Bill Yan MLA, you gave your word you would fund NT Aboriginal Ranger Grants for the next four years. Please stick to your word and restore the $12m to the budget you promised. #NTBudget #NTPOL
Happy to help. Hope it went well.
Day 5 of the @marinemammalogy conference was presentation day for the @gamayrangers and I!
A BIG thank you to @CountryNeedsPpl and @blueworldbondi for their kind support of the Rangers and our work!

You bet! Indigenous Rangers are a key part of the fabric of Queensland & particularly North Qld. Managing fire, protecting biodiversity, caring for cultural sites & values, responding to extreme weather and supporting communities. You can back ‘em in here countryneedspeople.org.au/ql…
Love to see it when scientists and Traditional Owner run Indigenous Ranger groups via Indigenous Protected Areas develop strong mutually collaborative working relationships. Everyone benefits. Well done Ngururrpa mob , Rachel P @NESPLandscapes @IDA_Australia #TwoToolboxApproach
Did you catch Dr Rachel Paltridge on @abcnews? 📺
An arid-zone ecologist with @IDA_Australia, Rachel spoke about a new study into the night parrot — one of the rarest birds in Australia — led by Ngururrpa Rangers. 🦜

Live in Queensland? There’s a unique model of Qld govt practical, support and backing for Indigenous rangers hosted by Indigenous led organisations. Join us in telling all pollies to secure & strengthen it into the future. You know it makes sense😎 countryneedspeople.org.au/ql…

We’re here at the #2024LandWaterManagementForum Great to catch up with a lot of old mates , new mates and countrymen and women.
We worked hard with our partners and supporters in the Northern Territory to get ALL pollies and parties to commit to backing the work of Indigenous Rangers. We’ll be watching closely to make sure promises are kept. This is where we got to.. #ntpol countryneedspeople.org.au/nt… 1/
2/ The Aboriginal Ranger Grants program we advocated to create in 2016 is important to continue. It’s $12m of useful funding for Ranger Groups Territory wide. Making a contribution to jobs in the bush and tackling environmental problems. Think that’s modest? Well…get this ..
3/ …NSW , SA and Vic, with much bigger budgets, have no dedicated ongoing funding program ‘at all’ for community based rangers or their work at this point. If you’d like to help change that over time sign up here & we’ll keep you posted. countryneedspeople.org.au/fu…
ALL parties & candidates in the NT need to step up with specific $$ support for the NT Aboriginal Ranger Grants program for the next 4 yrs. On Monday Labor stated it's position. Time for others to commit. NT resident? Sign petition & share. #auspol countryneedspeople.org.au/ad…
Today @CountryNeedsPpl welcomed the statement by @SelenaUibo & @TerritoryLabor backing Indigenous Rangers in the NT by extending the practical and highly valued Aboriginal Ranger Grants Program by 4 years. Time for other candidates and parties to step up.
