Why are pundits so keen to portray Duran as unhappy about playing on the right? One makes the suggestion and the rest nod along as though it’s an established fact. He played up front last week and scored. Played on the right today and scored again. Got his goal quicker today.

O’Neill is clearly trying to play Hogh through his slump, and I understand that. Duran might well prefer playing up front every week, but pundits suggesting he’s unhappy about being on the right, with no evidence, is bizarre.

Going to take a few hours to unclench. Dug that one out in the end. And another 2-1 between the two sides.

I don’t think Celtic can play Nygren and Hassan in the same starting XI in Europe after watching this 1st half. Great when Celtic have the ball, but in transition both of them are quite slow at getting into position. When he gets back to full fitness, I would say Yang has to play on the right wing in European fixtures to help whoever is at right-back.

It's a sad state of affairs. This Celtic side is still capable of winning the league, but we're seeing the consequences of another summer of 'that'll do' economics. This team wasn't given the best chance to succeed. That was a choice.

Mika Baur! You can feel and see his influence growing in this side. A player who has bet on himself by coming to Celtic.

Watch how switched on Duran is here. Gets his shot away despite two players trying to stop him, then spots Callum on the rebound. A lesser, more selfish striker just has another go. The awareness to see the pass and execute it so quickly is top drawer.

Alex Paulsen should get a guard of honour from his own teammates walking off the pitch. He’s saved them from an absolute hammering today. As comfortable a victory at Fir Park as I can remember.

An early goal 👌 Let's hope we can build on it.

The last time Jota was named in a Celtic squad was 26 April 2025, when the Hoops thrashed Dundee United 5-0 to clinch the league title. Brendan Rodgers was manager, with Kühn, Maeda, Hatate, Engels and Taylor all starting. Not much has changed 👀

Seven years ago, Martin O'Neill's Nottingham Forest reign ended amid serious questions about his coaching and tactics. Some of the parallels with Celtic today are uncomfortable. My latest column for Celts Are Here Extra Time. Read with our FREE 7-day trial.

READ HERE: celtsarehere.substack.com/p/… I'm putting my love for Martin to one side to analyse the manager like I would any other in his position right now. I really hope he can get this team going.

“I find the outrage over a disrupted round of golf very difficult to take seriously.” My take on Celtic’s response to the protest and why supporters’ anger runs much deeper than a few tennis balls. wp.me/p3Jms9-Bph

How do fans hold Dermot Desmond’s decisions to account? You don’t have to back the protest to ask how a man whose fingerprints are all over Celtic answers to supporters. He hasn’t attended the AGM in two decades. What would be “Celtic” enough to get his attention?
🔊 LISTEN: “I don’t agree at all with what happened at St Andrew’s, that is not Celtic!” 🍀 Martin O’Neill believes the divide between fans and the club is widening, and is also criticising supporters who threw tennis balls at owner Dermot Desmond last weekend. ⬇️
