The petition asking Sony to green-light a new Destiny game has now reached 400,000 verified signatures.
Some people will say, "This does nothing," and maybe they're right in the way they mean it. A petition alone doesn't guarantee a new game. But it does send a clear message to Sony that there is still strong demand for more stories in the Destiny universe. It also shows other studios and developers the kind of game Destiny players are eager to invest their time in.
If you could bottle the passion of the Destiny community and sell it, some would. Only a few gaming communities are as dedicated as this one, and many studios would love to have a fanbase with this level of loyalty and enthusiasm.
It's also worth remembering that these are verified signatures. Many more people signed the petition, but signatures that could not be verified were removed from the total. That makes this one of the most-signed gaming petitions ever.
Well done, Guardians.

For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.
As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.
Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to.
We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us.
From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.

There is a wide array of views on this CPI print, as always largely ideologically tainted. At the end of the day, inflation is just maths. This print is not as disastrous as January, it’s just very bad. The Fed cannot and should not ignore it.
Supercore (core ex-shelter) is up 47 bp, ok that’s better than 85 bp in January but there’s no sugar coating monthly half percentage points increases.
And shelter exclusions (very prevalent given the underlying lag assumption) no longer makes any economic sense. The housing market is NOT softening and that’s a big fucking problem that all these ex-shelter measures are eschewing for now. Housing prices are appreciating and various rent measures are running closer to 3%-4% y/y. Analysts should stop excluding shelter.
Sticky price CPI 3m annualized rate is 5% up from 3.5% mid 2023. That’s ZERO progress from January 2022.
Core inflation is stuck at 4%. 3 and 6 months annualized and y/y rates are all between 3.8% and 4.2%.
Median headline CPI is at 4.6%. It’s really hard to model a realistic scenario where headline slides down to below 3% before next year. That’s still a far cry from 2%.
Hope this demonstrates factually and with intellectual rigor and honesty how fucked the Fed is. If they don’t right this, the battle against inflation might well be lost in absence of a major recession.

Over the past couple of days, we've seen a spike in error codes and disconnects. The team has confirmed that these error codes are not related to the planned fixes rolling out for the recent crafting issue and are instead a result of DDoS attacks. While we typically don't confirm these types of attacks and do not plan to in the future for general game security reasons, we believe it's the right thing to do for our players to communicate the added pressure to our systems given recent circumstances.
We want to thank our players for their patience as our teams work swiftly to ensure the integrity of the game and continue to implement our roadmap for future stability improvements.
