Pune Police have asked Google and Apple to remove the Rapido app over unauthorized bike taxi operations.
FIR already registered against Rapido’s parent company, licence application still pending, fines collected from operators - yet the bike taxi option remains active and rides continue across the city.
Removing the entire app would also hit autos and cabs for new users.
Regulate the service properly instead of just chasing the app icon.

Banks rarely tell us which MCC a merchant uses. We usually discover it the hard way - one transaction at a time. It's time we put that knowledge to better use.
MCC Finder is a community-powered database where cardholders share and verify merchant names and MCCs from real transactions.
For example, Amazon can appear as ASSPL (5399), AMAZON PAY INDIA PRIVATET (5262) or AMAZON PAY GIFT CARDS (5947). The exact merchant descriptor and MCC can make all the difference to your credit card rewards.
How does it work?
- Report: Share the merchant name shown in your OTP and the MCC received.
- Verify: Vote 👍 if your transaction matches or 👎 if it doesn't.
- Build confidence: Each MCC needs at least 3 votes before receiving a High, Medium or Low confidence rating.
- Share insights: Use merchant comments to discuss which cards and payment methods worked.
The more cardholders contribute, the more useful and reliable the database becomes.
No login required. No personal information stored.
