Ben mentioned the Rivers-to-NC State rumors to me last Wednesday, well before the Wolfpack fired Dave Doeren on Saturday. Some definite smoke here ...

Will Philip Rivers leave St. Michael to become the next coach at N.C. State? Here's my take from covering him for the past 6 seasons. #alpreps al.com/highschoolsports/2026…

Will Philip Rivers become the next head coach at N.C. State?

It's not unreasonable to think future NFL Hall of Fame QB Philip Rivers could return to N.C. State as head coach.

Don't worry, they'll win by 1 point in OT like they always seem to do.

Philip Rivers coming to NC State. What would that do? CBS Sports NFL Analyst @WillBrinson says... "It'd be like a 50mg shot of Viagra to the entire city of Raleigh."

I feel like I have to ask this every week, but is it OK if I still vote Miami No. 1 tomorrow?

I have watched a lot of bad football in my time, and I'm not sure I've ever seen a team collapse like that.

FINAL: Louisiana-Monroe 21, Troy 14 Trojans try a multiple-lateral play on the final snap, and Warhawks recover a fumble in the end zone to score their 3rd TD in the final 2:34. Just a brutal, brutal loss for the Trojans, who had the game in complete control with less than 5 minutes left. Warhawks snap a 14-game losing streak, win for the first time since Sept. 27, 2025.

Alabama has just 36 rushing yards today. The Crimson Tide's fewest rushing yards in a win (since 1940) is 6 in a 20-14 win over LSU in 2021.

Alabama fans desperately want DeBoer's teams to be more like Saban's, but I don't think they meant missing field goals at key moments.

That was Alabama's first offensive touchdown since the 10:13 mark of the 2nd quarter vs. Tennessee last week.

Broadcast says Texas A&M's Mike Elko "irate" over that defensive holding call. The dude was holding onto the Bama receiver's jersey for like 15 yards.
