I’m trying to source multiple large print (not giant print or comfort print) /hardback/ NRSVs as am thinking about moving to pew bibles. Does anyone know a supplier of these, please?

Despite misleading headlines, the government’s review actually found that autism and ADHD do not appear to be becoming more common. Although diagnosis rates are increasing, the prevalence in the population is ‘broadly stable’. We are just diagnosing those who have been missed.

Frustrated & dismayed to see @UniofNottingham cut Modern Languages Honours Degrees. Future Nottingham? If you don't maintain languages, there won't BE a future... languages can flourish. Creative pedagogy not shortsighted cuts needed. Ashamed of my (ancient langs) doctoral home.

Huge thanks to @LCostantini89 for the annual Classics stats. It's unusual our discipline manages to bring this report together, and so very valuable cucd.blogs.sas.ac.uk/files/2…

Recorded a podcast today looking at my language teaching work, alongside my Greek Tragedy meets New Testament and Neo-Latin research, through the lens of neurodivergence. Yes, that was a ridiculous, far-ranging conversation. I didn't know I thought / knew half those things!
Posted separately, but here it is again. That was quite an experience: earlymodernneurodivergence.c…
What happens when I think about all my Classics & Theology research interests out loud through the lens of neurodivergence? Thanks to the AMEND project at Swansea, I kind of found out: earlymodernneurodivergence.c… Would love to know what others make of this associative thought sweep.

I've missed the news of Pat Easterling's death two days ago. A titan in her field. Here are some memories from Edith Hall: edithorial.blogspot.com/2026…

Just agreed to write a blogpost for the publisher of my latest article. How to turn 7000 words of applied linguistics and theology into 1000 words of accessible fun. Looking forward to it (and am likely to end up discussing the role of AI in the project).
I did not use anything from the 9 outputs to draft it, had to collect & manage the data manually, and ran the reviewer stuff independently of actually engaging with the review process, so AI had very little impact on the article itself. It was a very interesting experiment.
Interesting to note that the person who asked for details about claims I made regarding disability challenges / discrimination seems to have gone quiet since I supplied some evidence.

Jesus’ action in the #GospelOfTheDay (Mt 14:13-21) teaches us that nothing is discarded when it is shared. Hoarding and waste, however, are two sides of the same evil: greed. So, in the face of an opulence that reeks of decay, we find the outstretched hands of those who have no nourishment, the burned homes of those who have no peace.
