Day 55/1000
Player: Cruz / OkayP.
Mains: Pikachu / Fox
Region: UT
Years active: 2017–
Peak Global Rank: 37th, 2025
Best Wins: Joshman, Axe, n0ne, L, Army
Summary:
Cruz is Melee’s strongest new Pikachu player and Utah’s top competitor. After years of local success, he broke onto the national stage with a career-defining 3rd-place finish at Smash Camp 2025. His run included a win over Axe, Pikachu’s most influential player, before he fell to Joshman in losers finals.
That performance earned Cruz his first global ranking: 37th in the world in 2025. In a character history shaped by Axe, Cruz has become one of the few Pikachu players able to challenge elite competition. His Smash Camp run marked a new chapter for Pikachu and established Utah as home to one of Melee’s most exciting rising talents.

A lot of talented players to choose from I wish we could all go. 😔 If you would like to see me at this, it would be greatly appreciated to help a fellow young Pikachu out, with many dreams that just wants to show the world that if you work hard enough, anything is possible

Hi guys.
There are a lot of really cool players on this roster, but none of them are willing to do what I am.
Help me show off what Pikachu can do, help me show the work I've put into this game, and I'll (If he's down) get "RapMonster" Tattooed on my arm.
Cody v Zain in loser's round 4 of @Genesis_Smash
What. The. Heck. Is. Happening?????
Talking about Z jump.
I tried zump for a month.
My hands are so small that I need to use a c-stick for my analog stick
I physically could not zump in a way that didnt cause immense pain.
I use claw now.
Pika needs f1 uair.
@n0ned Do I just have bad zump spawn RNG?
Damn. I lost 40lbs since this picture was taken.
