Over the past years, we've built and launched a lot with Crypticorn — and learned just as much along the way.
Now we're evaluating what the next chapter should look like. 🧵👇
Round-trip fee drag.
Every DEX trade pays twice: swap fees, token taxes, and gas on both legs. A quick 10% move can vanish once entry and exit costs settle. Calculate your total round-trip hurdle before you enter.
Not financial advice.
Structure beats launch timing.
Most fresh DEX pairs bleed out in hours. Buying the opening green candle usually funds an early sniper exit. Let the chart find support and prove real demand before you size in.
Not financial advice.
Which chart timeframe do you rely on most when timing DEX entries: 1-minute, 5-minute, or 15-minute candles?
Where do you execute most of your DEX trades: Telegram trading bots, direct on the DEX web interface, or a swap aggregator?
Myth: a revoked freeze authority means a token is safe.
It only stops the creator from locking your wallet. They can still mint fresh tokens, dump insider supply, or pull unlocked LP.
Check mint authority and pool depth before you enter.

Check block zero on a new pair before you buy.
Snipers use private bundles to secure supply before normal orders fill. If bots take half the supply in the first block, the early pump is their sell wall.
Wait for the first bundle dump to clear.
DEX volume can be completely fake.
Deployers loop trades between two wallets to paint screener volume. When you buy in, you become the only real exit liquidity.
Compare unique buyers to total swaps. If 500 trades come from four wallets, pass.
An LP lock badge only covers what was locked at launch.
Watch pool depth over the next few hours. If liquidity drops while the lock stays green, the deployer is pulling unlocked pairs.
Track net pool changes rather than trusting a single lock badge.

How strict is your pre-trade checklist on a fresh DEX pair: full checklist every time, a quick 10-second safety scan, or buy first and research later?
Myth: FDV does not matter on fresh DEX tokens.
Traders ignore FDV when market cap looks cheap. If circulating supply is 2% of total, that discount is fake. Unlocked tokens dump directly into the pool.
Check circulating float before you buy.
A high holder count on a DEX pair can be completely fake.
Deployers send dust to thousands of wallets to pad scanner metrics while insiders control the float.
Check wallet balances before you buy. If most hold pennies, top holders own your exit.
DEX pairs often trade across multiple pools with different LP fee tiers.
A 1% pool takes twenty times the cut of a 0.05% pool. That extra fee drag bites both entry and exit.
Check which fee tier your router selects before you confirm the swap.
DEX alerts ping on momentum, not contract safety.
Skim permissions on-chain before you size a signal. Active mint rights, freeze authority, or uncapped sell taxes turn clean breakouts into trapped capital. Verify the code before chasing the chart.
Myth: you need 100x moonshots to grow on DEXs.
Holding for 100x usually means riding a 10x back down to zero. Real edge comes from taking profits on 3x to 5x moves with real exit depth.
A banked gain beats a screenshot you cannot sell.
