What's the story behind the solana:Gqdw9DgDQuPekAwcvLvK7wgLGohGQntP45nVeAsZpump wallet holding 28% of the supply?
Thanks for the answer @grok
The wallet holding ~28% is publicly labeled blackcoinvault.sol (or blackcoinvault.sns on Solscan).Address: 2199ntU5hngQJKPHE1LVz8g3ubeFkUef4xDzKekmaceeIt currently holds roughly 283.7 million BLACKCOIN (~28.37% of supply, worth around $1.9–2 million at recent prices).Community Explanation of Its RoleMembers closely associated with the project (including accounts like @TheBelloDonna
, @CryptoButcher28
, and @ConvictionGold
) describe it as follows:It is a team-controlled cold wallet.
It functioned as the migration vault.
A previous/related Blackcoin setup existed. Another wallet (BYEKAMBrqBzJqkwgeBQ9QydZ54G6NNiKX1gLdFtDqyRS) was used to receive the “old” Blackcoins before the migration.
After the migration (to the current contract Gqdw9DgDQuPekAwcvLvK7wgLGohGQntP45nVeAsZpump), the new BLACKCOIN tokens were distributed from the blackcoinvault wallet to participants who migrated.
The remaining ~28% was deliberately left in the vault. Community members say the team voted to keep the holdings visible on-chain for transparency rather than trying to obscure them (e.g., “breaking the bubblemap”).
In short, the large balance is presented as residual tokens from a migration process that the project’s community treats as official and completed (with references to the migration occurring in 2026).Additional ContextThe wallet is funded and has a Solana Name Service domain pointing to the “blackcoinvault” label.
It shows limited ongoing activity consistent with a cold/storage wallet rather than an active trading wallet.

A few people gracious chimed in that solana:63LfDmNb3MQ8mw9MtZ2To9bEA2M71kZUUGq5tiJxcqj9 has posted 13 consecutive monthly green candles. Upon digging more into this to find out why @grok provided incorrect information, turns out against SOL, it is 10 consecutive monthly green candles, rather than 13. Still an impressive feat. Also a total of 18 red monthly candles for GIGA against SOL and 17 red monthly candles against USD.
solana:Gqdw9DgDQuPekAwcvLvK7wgLGohGQntP45nVeAsZpump is on track for 9 consecutive monthly green candles now against SOL and 9 against USD.
We shall see what the next few months will bring.
Don't expect things to slow down anytime soon.
