One thing I really like about Uniswap v4 is how much freedom hooks give you around fee design. Pons V2 is a good example. Their graduated pools run at 0 LP fee, with the hook handling the fee logic instead. With Perch, we chose a different fee architecture. On most v4 launchpads today, the fee is taken from whichever side of the swap it lands on. So buys and sells naturally build fee inventory in different assets, including the launched token. If creators are paid in the quote asset, that launched-token portion has to be sold back through the pool before payout. Perch V1 handles the fee on the ETH side from the start. So we don’t build up launched-token fees that then need to be sold later. The benefit is simple: fee payouts don’t require another sell into the token’s own pool. Cleaner settlement, less extra market impact just to pay creators. We’ll add stablecoin and RWA quote pairs a bit later too, while keeping that same design.
Robinhood Chain has already plenty of launchpads. Perch needed to bring something new. Starting with creator fees. Every trade has a 1% fee. Creators control 80% of it and choose what happens to their share: • keep it • split it across wallets • commit part of it to automatically grow liquidity after graduation In V1, creator payouts are fully settled in ETH. After graduation, fees are collected directly in ETH, not in the token itself. That means there’s no token-side balance to convert or sell back into the pool. Neither creators nor the protocol need to sell the token to collect fees. There’s a lot more to cover in V1. We’ll share more over the next few days.

Appreciate the early feedback and questions around @perchdotfun. means a lot. there are already lots of launchpads on robinhood chain, so we spent a long time on what perch should do differently for creators and traders. there’s still a lot more I want to get right, but i’m really excited to put it in people’s hands first. i’ll share more later this week. DMs are open.

Zcash: Bitcoin-Like Money, Cash-Like Privacy Most blockchains are surveillance systems disguised as freedom tech. Bitcoin promised censorship resistance but delivered a public ledger where governments can track every dollar you've ever touched. Anyone can see who paid who. Anyone can see how much. Anyone can follow your full history. Transparency helps verification. But it also makes surveillance trivial. @Zcash exists to finish what Bitcoin started. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ► Understanding Zcash $ZEC keeps Bitcoin-style monetary rules: – Fixed supply: 21m – Proof-of-Work security But it adds something Bitcoin doesn’t have: private transfers. Zcash has two “modes” for transactions. ❶ Transparent mode ▸ Works like Bitcoin ▸ Balances and transfers are public ❷ Shielded mode ▸ Works more like cash ▸ Sender, receiver, and amount are hidden Users choose which one to use. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ► How privacy works $ZEC uses zero-knowledge proofs (zk-SNARKs). Simple idea: You can prove a payment is valid without revealing any details. The network can still verify: ▸ No double spend ▸ No new coins created ▸ Fees paid All without learning who you are or what you sent. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ► Product Layer @zashi_app is the flagship wallet built by Electric Coin Company. Design goals: ▸ Privacy by default ▸ Normal payments-app UX Zashi supports: ▸ Retail payments (via Flexa) ▸ Swaps ▸ Cross-chain payments via NEAR Intents No user metadata leakage. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ► Governance Evolution Old Model (2016–2024): ▸ Fixed developer subsidies ▸ Two organizations (ECC + ZF) controlled everything ▸ Limited community input New Model (2025+): ▸ 12% of block rewards → protocol lockbox ▸ $ZEC holders vote on funding allocation ▸ Grants require 420,000 ZEC quorum + majority approval Decision-making power has shifted from founding orgs to holders. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ► Roadmap: Tachyon Today's privacy chains have a scaling problem. Your wallet must download the entire blockchain and decrypt every transaction just to find your own payments. As the chain grows, syncing gets slower. Validators must store every piece of history forever, making nodes expensive to run. Tachyon flips the model. Instead of the network carrying all the burden: ▸ Wallets carry recursive ZK proofs of their own solvency ▸ Encrypted data moves offchain (peer-to-peer) ▸ Validators can prune old history Goal: Privacy that scales to billions of users without the chain growing forever. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ► TLDR ▸ Bitcoin's supply discipline with protocol-level privacy ▸ Users choose: transparent or fully encrypted ▸ Roadmap focuses on scaling private payments without surveillance

It’s been a wild year for @THORChain. Between non-stop upgrades, the rise of @RujiraNetwork, and the massive V3.11 release looming, it's easy to get lost. Consider this your reset. A 🧵 on the new engine ↓

This is DeFi’s FOMC moment. On Sept 14, @HyperliquidX validators will pick the issuer of $USDH, the chain’s first native stablecoin. At stake are $5.7B in USDC generating ~$220M in annual yield. Who captures the yield and who sets Hyperliquid’s monetary policy? (a thread)

This might be the most underrated Gaming L1 of 2025. @ParadiseTycoon pulled in 1.2M installs and 250K monthly users. Now the studio is rolling out Paradise Chain, a custom Avalanche L1 built to power every game in the Paradise IP. Here’s what most of CT has missed 👇
