So a lot of people are wondering what I'm doing and where I've been. I wanna first start off by letting everyone know, no, I'm not done with content. THIS A BIG POST I did content for 15-ish years. That's almost half of my entire life at this point. I genuinely needed to slow down, get other things done, and do all the "life stuff" I was neglecting. This includes things like getting a degree, sorting out family illnesses and loss, and genuinely trying to further myself IRL. I've also gotten involved in some pretty substantial projects with businesses that I cannot talk about due to NDA's and other things. As much as content creation is awesome and fun; it's not something that, to me, could carry me through the rest of my life. It's unrealistic to assume that I'd be "comfortable" at 40-50 years old money/life wise if that's all I did. I'm coming back to streaming but there's gonna be a few big changes to my branding/vibe/etc. Same Del, different look. It's gonna happen this year. The entire focus is gonna be around friends, community, and enjoying myself. It's gonna be 99% positive vibes. There will be no more game reviews, negativity, or bad junk. I apologize if I haven't reached out to all my content creator friends and people who support me! It's really difficult to keep track and the world's kinda been crazy the last two years. I've been keeping my head down and preparing. I've genuinely done like 5-6 years of work, prep, and college in <2, so I've been SLAMMED. It's definitely hurt my social life and visibility but that's okay! It needed to be done. I know a lot of you are excited to get back to hanging out, vibing, playing, gaming, and watching; and I am too! It's just gonna take a little bit longer but I promise it'll be worth it. I'm doing everything in the most responsible, well structured, and safest way I can. Gotta make sure my future is locked in before I can focus on content once more. Feel free to always DM me/poke me/message me on Discord/Twitter/Bsky - Always happy to chat! Genuinely thankful for all of you who still check in and are waiting. Ya'll are the best. -Del

"Our entire platform hates AI and it's antithetical to our creator space but fuck those guys anyway. Lets keep shoving it on them" I'm glad you're here Zach, I'd miss so much of this without your posts. Anyway Twitch hella dumb
OpenAI and Twitch are teaming up to see what developers can build for the Twitch community with AI. The top five will be featured at Twitchcon.

I'm kinda already over wipes in Wardogs pretty hard. I think we need a certification system like Planetside has. If it takes 3-4 weeks for a normal person to unlock something it's gonna take sweats like 3 days to do it. This sucks even more for casual players with wipes rn every 30-ish days. This back and forth on XP doesn't help. I think if there was a "you unlock tokens to unlock things" while you level system it'd help a ton. Gettin spammed by air? Spend certs and get AA unlocked. Certs can also just be cash. Gettin tank cheese? Antitank/mines unlocked. Maybe let people pull things for 4x value or something early? Let people target what they unlock and not lock certain things behind dozens of hours of grind. I'll probably be tapping out of S3, even with the super fast XP normal players aren't even close to unlocking some stuff they want. I think that's what people are still not understanding. It took 1-2 days for people to unlock tanks this wipe. (Without exploiting) It took normal players around 10 days of playing to do it. If you double the grind.. that's 2-4 days.. and 20 days of dealing with it before it's fixed. Same with most unlocks. If anything progression should be FASTER. Normalize the playing field. I do genuinely think Planetside 2 worked because you could target specific things to unlock to counter the bullshit until it was patched regardless of level. Thoughts? Also: try to be cordial in replies because holy shit the last few topics have been soooooo toxic and not constructive.

I gotta give big props to @Brammflakes for actively engaging with criticism and offering feedback directly to Wardogs players Devs don't usually do that nearly as much. It's cool to see so much back and forth

This really sucks. Bioware shaped and influenced our gaming culture so much. So many of their games changed how things were done. Incredibly talented people mismanaged and not allowed to really show their potential anymore under EA. The fact that they outright pulled the plug on the next Mass Effect.. oof. Hopefully those impacted find work quickly.

Today we have begun the process of controlling regions. 📢 Over the next few hours we will be reducing the maximum ping on a server to be 175 after we have decided that protecting the largest amount of players from an influx of regions that are more prone to cheating. It’s disappointing for us to have to put these divisions in place with social experience being such a core focus of WARDOGS, but we must prioritise the largest group of players over the minority. Region locking is in progress on the backend, but is more than a switch to make a meaningful impact to the desired effect. We’re sorry we let it get to this point that we are forced to make this decision, but we felt that giving certain regions the opportunity to prevail was the right move. Unfortunately, it has not panned out as we’d hoped and we’ll be getting stricter on cross pollination of regions. @BULKHEAD

A lot of people think I hate Wardogs because I don't like certain parts of it. Dude that's any game. I actually genuinely think Wardogs has a lot of potential or I wouldn't be talking about it. You're talking to a dude who put 10k hours in Planetside 2, I love stuff like this. I was the first NC BR100 IN THE WORLD - so I understand grind and like to weigh in on things like wipes, balancing, etc. Obviously I'm farming engagement by dropping my takes, but the game's genuinely a good foundation. I like the gunplay. I like the base building. I like the team antics. I like the ability to cross like all the classes and make cool kits. I like the vehicle/logistics system, etc. Game also looks great. People need to understand that if someone says "I don't like pie" I don't hate ALL BAKERS. You're allowed to like something but also admit it needs work. It's not black and white when it comes to games. Also saw Wardogs posted a position for a tester. That's awesome. Knowing the devs they'll probably hire someone who applies that no-lifes their game too. They get it.

Wardogs' progression system cannot be balanced for everyone. It is not possible. All progression systems reward time dedication, sorry. A lot of people wanted a wipe already because people no-lifed and grinded end-game stuff for specific classes in a day or two. I personally ran logi and unlocked tank day 1. It took 4-5 hours of running logi. There was no exploiting. This was just effective. It's braindead. People want stuff to take longer to grind don't seem to understand that if they make something take 10x longer the sweats will STILL HAVE IT. 40 hours to unlock a tank? Fine, they'll do it and have it 10x faster than you. In fact, it'll make the grind of casual players feel *far worse* Keep in mind progression STILL FEELS SLOW for most players. Making grinds take far longer punishes casuals, not exploiters/nolifing people. It's just longer where you don't have a counter or don't unlock the thing. It actually gives them MORE TIME to dominate/abuse it, because the average player will give up before reaching that same point if the grind is brutal. This has been learned/seen SO MANY TIMES in other games. Planetside 2 experienced this. Every MMO experiences this. People will always try harder, do more, and play better than others. There are people who will spend 36 hours straight without sleeping grinding a specific thing because they *can* Personally I think wipes should be 90-120 days, if at all. The most balanced thing would be to not ever wipe again. Fix things in EA as needed, let players level, ban exploiters. Once everyone has everything and everyone's got overpowered stuff then it'll normalize and we'll get a good idea of what's going on. Oh fuck thermals though, delete those. They're still broken. Just wanted to say this from the perspective of someone who has BEEN THE SWEAT in games like this. The longer something takes, the longer you're able to abuse it before normal gamers catch up. It's very much a rich get richer.

I fully 10,000% support region locking. The overseas servers are filled with insane amounts of rampant hacking and so a lot of people come over to the US servers to hack. Let players choose to play on region locked official servers or not. Genuinely I think 90%+ of hackers we've seen (And there's hundreds) have been from overseas. Sure, US players hack, but the difference in sheer volume is staggering. For anyone wanting "less" - Play on US Central servers for right now. The ping kick filters a large majority of hackers.
Region lock looking more and more appealing. We've got some shit to show you guys... This vlog is going to be painful and fun.

They genuinely just need to remove the 3 teams thing in Wardogs. There's really not enough players and one team genuinely just feels awful to be on the entire time.

This is genuinely so fucked up. Ya'll don't even know the can of worms that's been opened recently with decompiling and game crossover. Everything is open sourced. Everything can be stolen in a day. We're absolutely not ready and it's gonna be BAD. I can tell you this will most likely annihilate a large chunk of the indie dev game sphere and people will do it to be malicious. You're going to have farms/companies in China/Russia doing this and flipping games/stealing popular trends on socials just to make money. This is gonna get REALLY REALLY BAD.
Building in public is dead. An indie dev shared an early preview of his game where you punch walls incrementally to escape. It hit 4.7M views. Within 25 hours, a copy was already live on Roblox. His Steam page isn't even up yet, and the clone will probably outearn him.

Sorry my hot take on "Stealing someone's work maliciously and copying it to undercut them using AI" is so spicy. The mentality of "I MUST SUPPORT THIS THING NO MATTER WHAT" is just so sad when people can't do any critical thinking for themselves.

I think at this point ya'll should stop wiping for a while. I don't think this was an XP issue, more like unlock position issue. Level 20 for a tank in driver? That wasn't hard to do BEFORE the changes. It's just supply running for 4-6 hours. People are going to absolutely grind out stuff day one. There's no way to fix it. This is gonna happen every season, every time. The entire system is based around the rich getting richer. If someone nolifes and puts 16 hours into something and unlocks it without a counter they will continue to climb and unlock things as they dumpster people. Wiping again so soon would just make people quit because I personally know people who took time off to grind. I didn't do that but I would be one of the people who wouldn't join for Season 3. I think XP feels good. It's reward track positioning that's bad.
ANNOUNCEMENT 📢 Season 2 was meant to be a fresh start, and for a lot of you it hasn't felt like one. We sped up progression on deliberately and tried to balance the game better, as set out in the patch notes, but it was the wrong call. Some players are reaching end game gear like Tier 4 armour and MBTs within days, so the wipe never really landed. Some things are clearly out of balance and we'll fix them. Others have the community split, so we want to see how those play out first. We won't be doing a knee jerk reset this weekend, as that would be unfair on everyone already enjoying the climb. Instead, we're looking at significantly bringing forward Season 3 and some of its content, so you get a proper fresh start. More details in our dev vlog next week. This is what Early Access is for. Thanks for playing and for the feedback.

I'm just gonna hit the ground in a group of allies and let them revive me. I'm helping my TEAM make MONEY
WARDOGS Season 02: Parachute Changes! • Parachutes take longer to open. • They won't open below approximately 10m. • Opening below 50m while falling fast can result in fall damage. • Basic Parachute: $100 → $500 • Sport Parachute: $1,000 → $700 Pull your parachute early and choose your pilots wisely!

I mean yeah no shit. They take most of the ad revenue, a ton of sub revenue, and undercut the shit out of streamers on bounties. I'm not kidding either, bounties are straight up robbery lol
PaymoneyWubby says Twitch's sub split is "robbery" for streamers "I would tell everyone, don't stream on Twitch, you're getting robbed"

I feel like I'm remembering a completely different game than most wanting a Destiny 1 remake. Like the game really wasn't that good until way later in its life cycle. It got good before it died. There's a reason they moved on. Looks better, yeah, but rose tinted glasses yknow?

Dude, Twitter/Bsky/Reddit are so much nicer without the fucking Russian bot nets. Holy shit, 99% of the screaming angry dumbass posts are gone. Timeline feels like 2015. Really funny how certain conversation topics/circles COMPLETELY DIED and it's just people/actual conversations now. Definitely wish we'd do something on a federal level to just stop this sort of shit. It's completely night and day difference wise. Seein way more real people and less bot network/generated posts. Too bad it's temporary. Ugh

Imma be completely real - I literally reviewed games for a living and I still can't figure out wtf is going on with @DuneAwakening's direction. Are we a solo game now? Why DD still exist? Why can I mod my server but still go pvp other people? Are we multiplayer? Does progression matter? The heck was the point of having us grind out a billion xp to level arbitrary point systems like combat and crafting and stuff only to allow people to tweak things? I am genuinely so confused because it feels like some patch notes literally conflict with things in the SAME PATCH direction wise. No clue what's going on internally but it seems like they don't either lol
