One of the great parts about open-source hardware is that you get to see things like this come together:

Added a new GBC video preset inspired by the @modretro Chromatic’s color profile. Lapras looks a lot less yellow than with the Raw setting.
Also finally added frame blending.
Using the Chromatic as the GBC cart reader for the M64.
I fixed an issue with the N64 core that was causing issues with Resident Evil 2. This was also happening in @modretro's stock firmware, causing slowdowns, freezes and artifacts happening on certain camera angles. Easily observed in Kendo's at the beginning of the game.
Today, I'm releasing the first version of my custom firmware for the ModRetro Chromatic - ChroMagic. Back up your carts directly on the handheld. Free and open source, built on ModRetro's own firmware.
Very excited to finally share this with others!

If you're not breaking stuff and proving dev logic wrong, you're not testing right.
I've been teaching myself micro-soldering the last couple of weeks. I came across a broken copy of Pokémon Blue. The board vias had corroded away, leaving the PCB useless.
I managed to transplant the ROM chip to a donor board, and success!
Well that's the most intense moment I've had in a Pokémon game in years. Having a lot of fun with Legends ZA.
I've finally started making a speedtun tool I've wanted to make for years. This overlay hooks into Pokémon Red and highlights the tiles you need to walk on in green. A button press tiles are highlighted in red. Within just a few attempts, I was able to RNG manip the god Nido.
