80% of Ukrainians support continuing strikes on Russian oil refineries, even at the risk of stopping or reducing US aid, KIIS survey finds.
Only 11% said that Ukraine should cease oil refineries strikes.
“Enormous amounts of munitions and personnel are reaching positions that remained unattainable for a long time. The positions are being fortified and expanded. This ceasefire was never intended for peace. It gives Russia the respite to prepare for a possible storming of Kherson.”
Update:

❗️In Kyiv, businesses are being put up for sale at a fraction of their original cost. Cafés, restaurants, shops and even beauty salons are changing hands for next to nothing.
According to Liga.net, falling consumer demand and a shortage of workers are pushing business owners to sell.
A 50 m² coffee shop is on the market for $22,000 — half the cost of opening it. A flower shop originally listed for $45,000 was eventually sold for just $10,000.
Behind these prices are businesses struggling to survive in an economy under enormous pressure.
“There are reports that russia is preparing assault operations in the Kherson direction for November 2026.
Every ceasefire gives Moscow another opportunity to prepare its next attack.
How many times does it have to prove it cannot be trusted?”
The ceasefire in Oleshky is another trap.
Yes, humanitarian relief matters. People’s lives come first. But the reality on the ground suggests russia is using this pause for another purpose.
Ukrainian military sources report that russia is reinforcing and resupplying its forward positions on the left bank of the Kherson region.
Building materials. Ammunition. Military supplies.

Kherson. Ceasefire.
A rare walk through just one part of the city.
The scale of destruction must be seen and known.
Usually, we cannot walk here because of the drones infesting the skies—so this is hidden.

“Ukraine is the most heavily mined country in the world after the start of the Russian full-scale invasion. Putting a Russian in charge of mine action is...well, it's hard to find a name for it.”
The UN has appointed Russian diplomat Gleb Desyatnikov as Assistant Secretary-General for Mine Action and Police in its Department of Peace Operations.
The appointment places a Russian official in a senior UN role overseeing mine-action activities and police-related work within peace operations.

Ukraine cannot afford to lose this war. And neither can we afford to look away while Ukrainians are fighting to hold the line.
We still need $1,000 to reach our goal. Please RT this post. Don't let it disappear in the feed. Your repost could be the reason someone sees this fundraiser and decides to help.

“Just a few hours after the ceasefire, a cameraman was killed right in the city center because of one of them.
The people from Oleshky could be brought across the river, but that's currently being actively prevented…
This brief pause is deceptive; no one trusts it.”

Bulgaria’s prime minister is now accusing Romania of provoking Russian attacks on commercial ships in the Black Sea by openly stating that Russia is attacking commercial ships in the Black Sea.
To make things even more coherent, he is also claiming that there's absolutely no evidence that it is the Russians hitting commercial ships in the Black Sea.
Bulgarian PM Radev: "[...] Many people believe that when we point the finger at the aggressor and start threatening him, the attacks will stop. They [the Romanians] did that. [...]
[...] We don't know if it's Russia striking civilian vessels in the Black Sea, but when we say it's them, we're provoking further similar attacks from their side."

Many people didn't see that Russia was attacking our data and cyberspace over a long period of time. Then we found a way to weaken Russia's strategy, to respond to their attacks on data. We are different here. Ukraine is more technologically advanced. The Russians attacked our data centers so many times, and still we had cell service and an Internet connection. Because we are digitally decentralized and advanced. Our responses are more painful for Russia because they are more centralized. They have a different strategy. Because they have a lot of air defense assets, they are simply defending what they have. We don’t have too much air defense – we have a shortage. That is why we decentralized everything, not only data. But we always try to respond and do so only after Russian attacks against us.

Things have not been easy here. The blackouts have started and they will only get longer. Several friends suggested I do this. So I am giving it a shot.
My birthday is this week. If you want to help me prepare for the winter I would be very grateful. I will list the specific items in the comments. I will not wait for this to close to start buying items and I will keep you updated in the comments when things are bought and arrive. Shipping times will not be quick because most of the power stations/ power banks come from the EU…. And I know I’m running out of time before it gets worse.
I absolutely hate asking for help for myself. There is just no other way to get the things I need in time.

"According to the FT, the list includes a postwar joint venture for US oil majors off Sakhalin and a US role in Russian oil sales to Europe through the Druzhba pipeline. Outlets relaying the FT add partial Russian airspace transit for US airlines, titanium cooperation, gas to Europe through what remains of Nord Stream, and a sale of Lukoil's international assets to investors with White House ties.":
🇺🇲 🇷🇺 🇺🇦 The Lukoil deal was never a one-off. The FT now reports it sits inside a broader US-Russia list of "Business Deals."
The Financial Times reports that the US and Russia are discussing a possible return of American companies to the Russian oil market as part of talks to end the war in Ukraine. The FT says it obtained a lengthy written list of proposed deals.
According to the FT, the list includes a postwar joint venture for US oil majors off Sakhalin and a US role in Russian oil sales to Europe through the Druzhba pipeline. Outlets relaying the FT add partial Russian airspace transit for US airlines, titanium cooperation, gas to Europe through what remains of Nord Stream, and a sale of Lukoil's international assets to investors with White House ties.
That last item is the deal we flagged on October 3, after the New York Times reported Putin personally raised the Lukoil sale with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner at the Kremlin on September 5. Today's report suggests that conversation was one line in a much larger commercial package running alongside the peace track.
The FT says the current talks build on proposals Witkoff and Kushner discussed with Kirill Dmitriev, Putin's special economic envoy, late last year, and that the push stalled as Ukraine resisted Russian demands for territorial concessions as a precondition for talks. One person briefed on the deals told the FT: "Dmitriev's plan was waiting until the war froze, but the clock is ticking and war is not stopping, so they have made a decision to move forward now."
A US official told the FT that envoys have discussed economic proposals with both sides, including a postwar framework for Ukraine and potential cooperation with Russia after the war. "Nothing is final," the official said.
The obstacles remain large. ExxonMobil, whose 30% Sakhalin-1 stake was seized, said last year it had no plans to return, per the FT. Rosneft and Lukoil remain under US sanctions imposed in October 2025, and any deal would depend on a settlement and sanctions relief.
The strategic question is sequencing. Moscow is offering Washington commercial upside before any ceasefire, while Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy grid continue. Earlier this month the Kremlin declined to comment on the Lukoil report but said energy cooperation is discussed with US negotiators. The Kremlin, the White House, Kyiv and the EU have not yet commented on the FT list.

💔 Heartbreaking news from Kherson.
Today, October 27, Volodymyr Obertas, press officer of Ukraine’s 34th Marine Brigade, was killed by an explosive device in Kherson while accompanying medical personnel.
Volodymyr was the talented man behind the wonderful videos we’ve received from the 34th Marine Brigade.
He was originally from Oleshky, the Russian-occupied town across the Dnipro River. He dreamed of returning home.
And here is the heartbreaking irony.
Volodymyr created the video that spread across social media, drawing attention to the desperate situation in Oleshky and helping build momentum for the evacuation of its residents.
Today, on the very first day of the announced ceasefire intended to allow that evacuation, he was killed. Just a few kilometres from his hometown, without ever seeing the outcome of the mission that meant so much to him.
A man who used his camera to show the world what was happening in Ukraine has become another victim of Russia’s war.
Rest in peace, Volodymyr. 🕯️🇺🇦
My deepest condolences to his family, friends and fellow Marines.
