🚨 The DA is pressing the Free State MEC for urgent action to secure Platberg Nature Reserve.
Illegal tree felling, hunting, livestock, charcoal production and other activities continue to threaten this vital 4,000-hectare environmental and heritage asset.
It’s time for action.
Holding municipalities accountable! ✊ We're taking action with the South African Human Rights Commission to fight for basic service delivery across the Free State. 📄
Tired of uncollected trash piling up in your street, neighbourhood and open spaces across Mangaung? Clean streets and reliable basic services are not a luxury, they are a right. It's time to demand better service delivery and get our municipality working for all.
When waste is not collected and by-laws not enforced tons of refuse end up polluting the Bloemspruit channel and threatening our water systems in Mangaung. It’s time for clean, safe, and accountable governance. 🗳️
🗳️ On 4 November, residents of the Free State have a unique opportunity to get their towns and cities working for all!

🚨 Across the Free State, residents are being failed by municipalities that cannot properly account for public funds, are looting the province to its bones, and failing in their duties.
DA Parliamentary Leader George Michalakis, laid criminal charges against municipal managers responsible for serious failures and transgressions.
Enough is enough, Free State residents deserve municipalities that are properly managed, accountable and work for all. 💙

🚨THE TERRIBLE TEN: Municipal failure has consequences.
The DA has laid criminal charges against four municipal managers across three Free State municipalities over serious failures in financial management, governance and service delivery.
From disclaimed audits and polluted water to financial systems vulnerable to looting Free State residents deserve better.
No one is above the law. Local government must work for all.
