We were thrilled to host a ‘Meet the Candidates’ session at DALC on Tuesday morning, featuring election candidates from our local area.
Students & staff had the invaluable opportunity to engage directly with their local representatives, asking questions about their plans and commitments to our community if elected. We had a fantastic turnout and was expertly moderated by Hugh O'Connell from @Independent_ie
Fantastic to have all the Dublin Central candidates in today to set out their stall before #GE24. Wonderfully chaired by @oconnellhugh 👏🗳️ @ClareDalyIRL @neasa_neasa @Paschald @GaryGannonTD @EoghanOCPBP Marie Sherlock, Malachy Steenson, Mary Fitzpatrick.
“Voter turnout in areas that have high levels of social housing is low overall. Lack of access for canvassers to apartment blocks is going to further exclude people already hard to engage.” By Michelle, Belmayne Community Group, Dublin 13.

This course and programme is fantastic - not just explaining the mechanics of how elections work, but also why/how people should use their voice. Maith thú @DALCDublin 👏
