Today is International Random Acts of Kindness Day!
And we need it now more than ever.
Being kinder than necessary costs nothing, but it can mean everything. So, let’s choose kindness - not just today but every day. Let’s make it a habit, a priority and a way of life. Because one act of kindness has the power to spark another… and another… until we’ve lit up the whole world.
The truth? It’s been a hard couple of years.
Long. Exhausting. And everyone’s carrying something they don’t talk about - because, well, the first rule of fight club is that we're not allowed to talk about fight club.
But here’s what matters: you can't help everyone in their fight club, you can’t fix someone’s battle but you can be damn sure you’re not adding to it.
We rise by lifting others.
And we lift with kindness.
Kindness is loaning someone your strength, not reminding them of their weakness.
So today - go be kind. Love louder. Share only good things. Because together, with more kindness, we can make the world a little bit better.
And I think we need that now more than ever.
Okay. Love you. Bye.

Today is World Mental Health Day.
So today, I want to remind you of something important: There is always hope.
Even when it doesn’t feel like it.
And listen, I know this time of year can be especially tough. We see it in our readership. And the online discourse that can feel like it’s been born from a volcano of toxicity. The days feel heavier, the weight of headlines seems relentless and the pressure to keep it all together can be overwhelming. It’s easy to feel like we’re carrying the world on our shoulders.
But here’s the thing though: Sometimes, it only takes one story of hope to change how we see everything.
A single reminder that light exists, even in the darkest moments, can (sometimes) shift our entire perspective.
I believe the way we see the world isn’t just shaped by what happens to us; it’s deeply influenced by the stories we tell ourselves. The narrative we choose to focus on—whether it’s one of fear and uncertainty or one of hope and possibility—has the power to transform our mood, our mindset, and our future.
So maybe we should choose to tell the stories that lift us up. The ones that remind us of the goodness that exists both around us and, just as importantly, within us.
And then we need to hold on to being thankful and grateful.
Gratitude is one of the most powerful tools we have. When we focus on the small wins, the little things that bring us joy, and the beauty in everyday moments, we begin to shift our mindset. We move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling empowered, from being stuck in negativity to seeing the opportunities for growth, connection, and happiness. It’s a mindset of resilience—a conscious decision to see the good alongside the challenges.
Remember, “I get to” instead of “I have to”.
Oh, this doesn’t mean ignoring the hard stuff. Life will always have its ups and downs, and we can’t wish that away. We can, however, choose how we respond. Someone once said life is 10% what happens to you and 90% reaction. Looking at life through this lens can make tough times a little easier to get through.
But friends, terms and conditions apply: Not everyone is able to pull themselves out of a space where they may feel hopeless. We are all dealing with stuff on a different level. Everything I have just said might look like a complete world salad to a person who can't see the wood for the trees. It’s tough out there. Everyone is holding on by a thin-thin thread.
That’s why days like World Mental Health Day are so important. To have the conversations. To give each other a safe space to be. And that’s also why kindness is so bladdy important. Be kinder than necessary or needed. In every moment.
I love you. And I am sending you all the good things.
Please try to hold on to hope. And if you can't, then please reach out. Be kind to yourself and others. And above all, remember that we’re all in this together. Every single one of us.
Okay. Love you. Bye.
