Polygon Unlocks Onchain Brazilian Interest Rates
@Featherlend launches the first institutional-grade lending vaults for the Brazilian Real on @0xPolygon.
The protocol uses @Morpho's isolated market design to incorporate Brazil's 13.75% Selic interest rate standard directly onto the public blockchain.
The framework sets up a natively funded yield curve for the Brazilian currency using the $BRZ stablecoin and isolated borrowing and lending pools backed by the @Chainlink price oracle.
The design will let institutional investors gain Latin American sovereign yield exposure through non-custodial wallets.

Together, they create a clean onchain bridge between Brazilian policy rates and global capital.
Brazil's policy rate is 14%. Until this week, nobody with a crypto wallet could earn it.
The first BRZ lending markets are live on Morpho, on Polygon, with DFB as the architect of the liquidity underneath.
The incentives were meant to deepen liquidity, but heavy external volume continuously pushed the pair off-target. The pool's peg broke as it absorbed market forces originating from whales looking for yields.
"High yields" usually means the subsidy hasn't run out yet. Turn off emissions and read the volume/liquidity five days later, that number is the real yield. Almost nobody publishes it.
First BRZ/USD pair went live on-chain in 2020. Volume was a rounding error. Six years and 60+ pools later, it isn't.
ZAR closes the month: five corridors (BRL, IDR, GBP, AUD, ZAR), one engine, open since 2020. The common thread was never the token. It was opening the corridor first and enticing organic demand to build.
Tokenizing an asset is the announcement.
Anyone can mint a token that represents something.
That's a database entry with a press release
Making it liquid on demand, for anyone, at any size, that's the actual work. Almost nobody pushes past the tokenization step to get there.
