As part of the ongoing #JanjatiyaGauravDiwas2026 celebrations, a vibrant cultural programme was organised at Govt. High School Sigdi Bhata, Zone Inderwal, Kishtwar, to promote and celebrate tribal folk music, traditional dances and cultural performances.
The programme aimed to
preserve, promote and popularise our rich tribal heritage, traditions and cultural identity, instilling a sense of pride among students in their cultural roots.

Government has accorded Administrative Approval for the creation of tourist infrastructure to promote border tourism at Uri at an estimated cost of ₹7.93 crore.
The comprehensive project covers infrastructure upgrades across Uri Town, Bosiyan-Gingal, Mahura, Garkote, and Bela Boniyar, including the development of tourist huts, facilitation centers, riverfront and scenic parks, viewpoints, trekking paths, and public conveniences.
This major tourism initiative will enhance Uri's profile as a thriving border destination, driving local economic growth and showcasing the region's rich natural heritage.
Order imposing restrictions under Section 163 of the BNSS for the OMR-based examination for the post of Accounts Assistant (Finance Department), commencing from 15-11-2026, at the aforementioned examination centres:

Secretary, Revenue, Avny Lavasa, today chaired a review meeting in Udhampur to assess the progress of Agristack, Farmer ID generation and implementation of various revenue-related schemes, directing officers to expedite registration and ensure comprehensive coverage of eligible beneficiaries.
The meeting reviewed the implementation of PM-KISAN, digitisation of land records, geo-referencing of cadastral maps/Mussavis and the SVAMITVA scheme.
Lavasa directed officers to organise special camps to facilitate farmer registration, achieve assigned targets within stipulated timelines and ensure that eligible farmers receive the benefits of government schemes in a timely and effective manner.

Secretary, Tourism, Avny Lavasa, today toured the Patnitop Development Authority (PDA) jurisdiction, covering Kud, Patnitop and Sanasar, to review ongoing tourism infrastructure projects and assess the functioning of the Authority.
Reviewing key projects, including the Tulip Garden at Sanasar, golf course, beautification of Sanasar Lake, pathways, drainage, lighting and waste management, Lavasa directed executing agencies to expedite ongoing works and ensure timely completion with quality standards.
She also stressed regular monitoring to prevent encroachments, proper maintenance of tourism assets and cleanliness of public facilities. The Secretary assured Ponywala representatives that their demands regarding sheds and improvement of tracks would be examined on merit.
