ALT High dimensional immunophenotyping and autologous tumor stimulation of human tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) demonstrate that the tumor-specificity of PD-1+, CD103+, and CD39+ TIL subsets are mainly derived from TILs expressing CD137. These results indicate that CD137 is a more selective biomarker for naturally-occurring, tumor-specific TILs in solid human tumors.
