I guess I'll go ahead and start building that addition to my house now
GOG wants to bring physical PC games back. The idea is to let players buy boxed versions of games directly from their GOG library and have them delivered to their homes.
“We need to think about logistics. We need to think about storage,”
The company would also need approval from publishers to produce and sell physical copies.
GOG has been discussing the idea for years, but there are still plenty of challenges to overcome.
“I really hope that at some point we will be able to do it,”
sorry who are you again?
Taika Waititi has called critics “sad lost souls” after ‘KLARA AND THE SUN’ became his lowest rated film ever on Rotten Tomatoes.
“I haven't read a review of anything aimed at me or my peers in almost 15 years. But I do listen to the people.
So this Halloween, let's spare a thought for those sad lost souls who couldn't achieve their dreams of becoming artists, and thus became critics. The same people who also hated Jojo Rabbit!
Irrelevant. Out of touch. Obsolete. In the bin.”
son of a bitch

Can't understate this aspect of him/Picard's importance. Seismic global shift in the perception of bald dudes
Patrick Stewart reveals he was so concerned when he went bald at age 19 because he thought his love life was over
“Surely, by the 24th century, they will have found a cure for male pattern baldness.”
The question: “It doesn’t make any sense. You’ve got a bald actor playing this part.”
Gene Roddenberry: “No, by the 24th century, no one will care.”
On the comment: “It was one of the nicest things that’s ever been said about men like me.”
On shaved heads: “It was nice for a while when I saw all of these shaved heads, but it began to irritate me, frankly.”
On people with hair: “When somebody has a magnificent head of hair, that honestly, when I was nineteen, I would have loved to have had. And they shave it all off, and I feel that somehow they’re kind of infringing on my territory.”
Losing his hair: “Nineteen, it all happened within the space of a year. It was horrible, it was horrible. I thought everything was over. Especially, you know, one aspect of my life.”
“Finished. Nobody’s gonna want… Over.”
Literally all of this is because he couldn't let go of his own one meaningless mid ass movie from the other thing and as a result he has painted himself into the dumbest corner possible
kinda forgot that this extremely mid movie had some moments where these two titans were just crushing it
related, I've always thought Generations was a tad underrated, it was always my go to for some reason, even over First Contact. On a good day the end of this cut off the score where they blend the two show's themes can get me, but especially today youtube.com/watch?v=FBdmVGGa…
some of the best bts 'drama' from TNG was Patrick Stewart having so much control that he constantly made the writers do stuff like this or give him more action/James Bond/romance type beats just because he wanted it. NEVER the right choice but it made him so fucking happy lol
I guess a lot of people know this clip from John Mulaney doing a really stupid and inaccurate bit about it, but I know it from having seen it broadcast on television and then reading about it in Entertainment Weekly and then having it lodged in my brain for thirty years
think about this scene near daily since becoming a father. "You're just at the beginning of the adventure"
