One of the wrinkles of 5-in-5 and portal is the recruiting of the fringe 4-stars Every player on 247 for the Class of 2027 ranked between 75-150 is a 90-grader 4⭐️ - 52 are committed - 21 are committed to non P4+BE (40%) - The class of 2026 had 53, 90-rated 4⭐️s; 14 picked non P4+BE (26%) - The class of 2025 had 53 more; 9 picked non P4+BE (17%)

Tyran Stokes free throws in 3 exhibition games: 26-38 Rest of Kansas: 24-40

The third down conversions are just getting comical at this point. This is the equivalent of facing a team who gets a hit with RISP with 2 outs every inning. Chiefs have their warts but there is a huge level of flukiness to this

I would trade for a pass rusher and/or offensive tackle before I traded for a WR if I were Veach 🤷

I get it, but also Duke probably has the best front court (them or Florida?) in the country and TKR is the teams best big

Feel better about the team as a whole. Feel WAY worse about the 5 position

My assumption would be if you look at how Duke shot it early + Louisville game it’s clear KU was allowing a bunch of 3s with a true 5 out there Other thing is probably sending a message in an exhibition that he doesn’t *have* to play them if they’re not up to snuff

Any insight on why our bigs got sat all game?

also possible Self decided that playing big basketball was just what they were doing but worse, and by playing small they could get Stokes guarded by a center which clearly was an edge for Kansas

Part of the reason we love sports is the opportunity at redemption Gill having that huge punt end of 1st half and Connington making his final couple kicks deserve a shout as well

Far from a crisp or clean game from #kufball but I do wanna acknowledge Leipold, who has taken heat for lack of aggressiveness KU attempted 8 (!!!) fourth downs today. That was the difference in a one-score game imo
