2026 National Poppy Campaign launches with a donation “first” … and stunning mural: Don’t forget to Remember. The Royal Canadian Legion’s 2026 National Poppy Campaign launched today with a first: a new way for Canadians to donate to the campaign with their debit card, credit card or digital wallet via tap-on-phone. Legion volunteers from participating Branches can use their own compatible smartphones to collect contactless donations. “This is revolutionary for us, and we hope to see it grow,” says Sharon McKeown, Dominion President. “We are constantly modernizing our campaign to make it easier to reach those who support our mission, and we are grateful for their incredible contributions each year.” Read more about today's launch and the many ways you can support the 2026 National Poppy Campaign: legion.ca/news/articles/2026…

For 100 years, The Royal Canadian Legion has stood with Veterans and their families and helped Canadians Remember. The humble sticky note was made to remind us of the little things we don’t want to forget. This year, Canadians used them to remember something much greater. Now, thousands of handwritten messages of Remembrance have arrived at our artist’s studio, where they’re being carefully assembled into a commemorative mural honouring all those who served and sacrificed. See the Remembrance Mural in person in the Great Hall at Toronto’s Union Station, from October 24 to November 13. legion.ca/dontforget #DontForgetToRemember

Glad we are doing this. Worth noting that burn beds are very, very scarce. Precious resource.
NEW: Premier Danielle Smith says Ontario is sending 19 burn nurses and 5 OR nurses to help in hospital after the incident at CFB Wainwright.
