Was talking to my friend over the weekend and out of nowhere he just blurted out "you actually have beautiful eyes, ah wait o, you're actually my type o" and that's when I knew he had started looking at me with his penis. God please.

Being suicidal is a sign of full awareness. You can't be highly aware of this life game and be interested in it.

Now that I’ve got my energy back, it’s time to talk about Restless Affairs last Saturday. And without further ado, let’s talk about the music, the madness, and the beautiful loss of composure that came with it.
Birthday Boy Proton opened my night with an energetic, high-momentum set that had my feet stomping almost immediately I stepped into the room. Then came 234Kosi, who did exactly what he promised: gently sedated us with good music. That Amapiano interlude? I was losing my shit in the most mannerless way possible. Axara, Sunrise and Billysroom, as Powerpuff Girls, took us somewhere else entirely. Their selections melted into one another with such effortless cohesion that identifying who was playing what became almost irrelevant. You simply surrendered and let the music take you. That seamlessness is one of the things I adore about their sets. I’m glad they made it up to me, too, even if the earlier mishap at V7 was entirely my fault.
KND came next, delivering my second-best set of the night and helping me tick something off my Restless Affairs bucket list: dancing on the speaker. By then, the inebriation + music fantasy had settled in, and whatever remained of my usual preoccupation with actions and consequences had packed its bags, haha. I was in full fuck it mode. Then, a gentleman in white joined KND on stage, and suddenly, the night had a new favourite. Their B2B was my best set of the evening. The chemistry was criminally good. I had been screaming on X, asking who this man in white was, and honestly, do we have any government agency I can petition to compel KND to release Abasi Fiang? And finally Abiodun, with the grains and grit of a set that felt like a deep mental fingering. He warned us the tempo was about to climb, and, my goodness, he kept his word. He would give you a moment to breathe, only to pull you straight back into the frenzy, teasing your body with reprieve before subjecting it to another round of rhythmic violence. Eventually, I had to flee the dance floor and spend half an hour recovering before calling it a night.
Where was Banz? I need answers. 👉🏽😒
Beyond the music, a little appreciation for everyone who made the effort to dress on theme. Apologies for arriving without mine; I wasn’t feeling my best and might have stayed home if I’d listened to my body. A special thank you to the Restless team for curating such an intentional lineup, where the music flowed without interruption and each set seemed to hand the night over to the next. El Niño really came for me at NextThought, but we forgave. The @restlessociety team had explained the difficulty of securing a suitable venue, with venue owners and event-space operators unable to offer a workable arrangement, eventually bringing this edition back to Kosi’s ex Nextthought studios. Whatever the logistical hurdles, Restless still gave us a night of sound, sweat, movement, and beautiful excess.
Some nights ask you to be present; others make a complete mess of your composure. Restless did both, and I loved every bit of it.
Cheers but when is the next edition?
