I’m weighing in on this because I always had this thought:
I don’t mind it if folks don’t want to spend 1000s of bucks to play one game. It sucks, and you really shouldn’t have to. But I felt folks who argue “game preservation” also have the want to just play games for free.

Crazy that Roxas and Yozora interacted in this cutscene

Once you play Kingdom Hearts you can never look back on this episode of Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which Jesse guest stars in, the same way again.
There was even a whole scene where Zack, Maddie, and London sneak into Jesse’s room while he’s sleeping, like Ventus. 😭

Trying to play the "game preservation" card on piracy for consoles that are still on the market and still making games for their systems is genuinely loser behavior man.
Just say you want free shit and stop wasting everyone's time trying to play the moral high ground.

why is it photographed like they all passed away
Anyone else finding it weird how many decomps and recomps are popping up these days? I remember when it was a big deal that Sonic Unleashed got a recomp, then Banjo. Now it feels like one a day another game gets compiled.

When you work on a project for 8 years and all you got is a title to show
With the amount of layoffs and lack of “quality control” we have these days, kinda giving me vibes of that video game crash that happened in the 80s.
The gaming industry has already lost 10,977 jobs in 2026, according to the ASGC Games Industry Layoffs Tracker.
That’s more than the entire 2025 total, and the year isn’t even over. The tracker estimates that losses could reach 13,077 by December.
Around 35 studios have also shut down, with 161 studios affected by layoffs.
>BioWare: EA closed the studio and canceled the next Mass Effect, which was still in early development.
>Sucker Punch: Around 24–26 employees were laid off.
>Microsoft is planning around 3,200 job cuts
>Arkane Lyon: Around 217 jobs are at risk.
>Supermassive Games: More than 70 employees were laid off.
>DON’T NOD: Up to 85 jobs could be affected by its restructuring.
For comparison, the industry lost 15,631 jobs in 2024 and 9,197 in 2025. 2026 has already surpassed last year’s numbers
So does anyone have any good recommendations for games on the Dreamcast? Managed to score a system and wanted to get and stream some games on it.
