DRep Council update: we presented draft proposal standards informed by 19 DReps rationales across 158 governance actions.
Eight proposal categories, a concerns matrix and draft templates aim to improve proposals before onchain submission.

Today, the DRep Council discussed our first tangible output: Governance Proposal Standards.
We’re using experience from the past DRep voting rationales to build clear requirements for proposers and a shared framework for DReps to evaluate on-chain actions.
Later, we aim to coordinate with Intersect and the Catalyst team to align standards across funding channels.
The principle is simple: the larger the funding request, the greater the scrutiny.
Interim Charter voting closes in a few hours. If approved, we’ll open Interim Board nominations and start work on TWGA standards.

We also discussed the Council's role in proposal quality: standardized Treasury Withdrawal templates, clearer team/KPI/conflict disclosures, and structured pre-submission DRep feedback so proposals can improve before they ever reach an on-chain vote.

The main conclusion: avoid scope creep and deliver tangible results first. Charter → templates → proposer/DRep communication → then expand based on what actually works.
The Council currently brings together 14 DReps representing ~175M ADA.

1/4 This week's DRep Council call was focused on moving from setup to execution. We discussed the Charter, coordination with Alpha Growth, Cardano's DeFi/infrastructure gaps, and what the Council should actually deliver in Q4.

The DRep Council can play an important role as the coordination layer: connecting builders, DReps, Intersect and other ecosystem bodies, helping socialize priorities, reducing duplicated work and giving the wider DRep community better context before major funding decisions.
