The fact Kuminga is just a solid role player got nothing to do with Kerr either.
To hear you Kultists tell it, Kerr is the reason he’s not Jaylen Brown
They are truly the Mulder and Scully of basketball role player fandom. Everything that’s gone wrong in this dude’s life is a conspiracy and someone else is to blame but him.
Thinking of a trade Dunleavy could do with the likely self-imposed Lacob limitations of KP contract, (maybe) Moody and the 27 first (and no other).
My Reasoning:
1. Playing with Steph and Dray and Jimmy on a team playing for something may light a fire under Turner. He’s a center you can pair Dray with
2. Depending on who you hear in Milwaukee, Rollins is having some issues adjusting to Taylor Jenkins. He apparently was a big Doc Rivers/Rajon Rondo guy. He’s also an impending FA and Burries and the kid they got from Miami is the future at that position there.
3. 27 draft isn’t that great. Get protection on the pick is low risk.
4. Losing Moody hurts, but add GP2 and it’s a 3 for 1 deal that allows GS to sign Dalen Terry.
I think the Lauri interest died when he got the new contract. It’s not financially feasible now. They’re not dealing Dray for him and hoping he and Yaxel can hold down the defense imo
lauri markkanen could emerge as a trade target for the warriors, who have shown significant interest in him in the past, per @seandeveney.
“he is 29 and not quite on this team’s rebuilding timeline, but he remains a top big-man scorer, and has long had the trade interest of teams around the nba–most notably the warriors, but others, too.”
*Sigh*
Lacob and Dumars are the irresistible force and unmovable object of inactivity and ineptitude.
That’s why I have no belief there will be any trades and Tim and Nick back it up as Lacob’s mouthpieces with the whole “If we traded the pick we wouldn’t have Yaxel” propaganda.
God bless Marcus Thompson for being the voice of reason on +/- as he pointed out later in the pod that, while they wouldn’t have Yaxel, they’d have Jaylen Brown at the minimum (depending on how serious you believe LeBron was)
Hopefully, we get another Jimmy scenario and Dunleavy can sell Lacob to move the 27 first being it’s an ass draft and hopefully they’ll end up drafting in the same area they did the year they traded the pick for Jimmy.
Tim Kawakami makes the case that the Warriors may not be that far from contending when Jimmy’s back while simultaneously saying it makes no sense to upgrade the team using a couple draft picks #LightyearsParadox
That racist Kris Weems joins the Kuminga Konspiracy
Warriors assistant Kris Weems on Jonathan Kuminga:
"What I would tell him all the time is, 'You gotta do some of the things that you don't want to do to do the things that you want to do.' And I don’t think he really understood that. Steve [Kerr] was asking, like, run the floor, get to the corner, and everything. But JK wasn't absorbing how important playing off the ball was for us. [Wiggins] figured it out... He started to figure out the pin-ins, and how to attack, using [Stephen Curry] as the decoy. JK just was like, 'Just give me the ball, man.'"

Interesting. Ben Simmons has wanted to be a Warrior for a minute. Basically has always wanted to be Draymond’s replacement
Ben Simmons says he called out Steve Kerr during a preseason game after the Warriors passed on signing him:
"I said something to Steve. I said, ‘Y’all didn’t want me?’ ... And [Kerr] said, ‘I didn’t know if you were healthy.’ And I was like, ‘OK. That’s why you have people that do their job and go fly out and see.’"

Charles Lee calls out Naz Reid
"Unfortunately, he didn't meet our standards in the first half, and at halftime we made the decision that he wouldn't play in the second half."😳

Herb and Yves for a first and a swap maybe. Two firsts? Come on now Joe
Latest Pelicans intel, via @FearTheBrown:
- People around the league believe the Pels and Dejounte Murray want to work together to "find [Murray] a better situation."
- Jordan Poole told the team that he "would be open to opportunities elsewhere."
- Joe Dumars is "extremely high" on Jeremiah Fears.
- Teams are continuing to monitor Herb Jones; Pelicans still asking for around 2 first-round picks.
- Warriors recently inquired about Yves Missi.
Dumars’ level of overrating the value of his talent makes even Lacob and Dunleavy look reasonable
The Pelicans are open to trading Herb Jones, who is averaging just 3 points in 17 minutes per game, per @FearTheBrown
New Orleans is reportedly asking for two first-round picks in return.
“League sources say the Pelicans have held firm at an asking price near two first-round picks, though no team has met that figure. Many in the league believe Jones' value will continue to go down if his minutes continue to be sporadic. Jones' contract is also slated to jump next year from $14.9 million to $20.8 million. Nevertheless, several playoff teams view Jones as a valuable cultural and basketball fit.”

Bill been obsessed with the Warriors going after Sabonis for the past two years.
“Yaxel [Lendeborg] might have single-handedly saved the Steph era.”
“Yaxel looked like mid-2010s LeBron.”
@BillSimmons can’t believe how good the Warriors rookie has looked so far to start the season and wonders whether it’s revitalized Golden State.
Continuing to monitor this one. If GS is throwing in a first or more with the KP contract, why not try for a future piece like Murray over the present non factors like Turner and others?
Game 3 and they already don’t care. If you knew you had to manage the old guys to a game 3 level degree, then the roster construction is more ridiculous
Blocks then wants to keep talking when you can’t respond. Such hofessional behavior.
And a Race Anchor. Checks all the boxes of a wasted cowardly life. So sad

If that happened, Memphis would have worked Dunleavy in a way that will go down in the history books.
Though the TPE over a contributing player screams the current front office
One scenario I am keeping an eye on is the Grizzlies.
Memphis owns a $28.8M TPE, and sources told @ClutchPoints they will be very open to utilizing this TPE to take on bad contracts for draft compensation.
Could this lead to a Porzingis-Quinten Post swap?
Heh. Blocked me but still wants to talk.
m the one saying get out and vote and fight the real racists.
You’re bucking against that.
Let’s add “coon” to the words in the dictionary you need to read up on and learn the definition of. Or have it read to you.
Trust me Race Anchor, racists love you a lot more than they do me.

So is he going to start impersonating Brunson now instead of Steph?
Brandin Podziemski and his trainer @coach_djv made it a priority to stay curious and study Jalen Brunson this past offseason
Watch our full Dubs Talk TV show with myself, @BontaHill and Podziemski starting at 5:30 p.m. PT on NBC Sports Bay Area @NBCSWarriors
Not sure if the team feels the same, and Lord knows these teams don’t deal, but one game and it seems like the entire Sacramento media are out on Keegan Murray. Buyer’s remorse on a contract making a little more than KP. KP, first and filler?

"The pain is coming no matter what."
IMO, that's the disconnect. Joe and Kirk don't believe that. They think they can do the same thing, starting from a clean slate, with the Warriors as they did with the Valkyries in the same amount of time.
This is where they botched the calculus: Maximizing Curry would have lead to some shallow seasons ahead, but that’s where they’re going anyway … without maximizing the greatest player in franchise history. The pain is coming no matter what. They punted on one last chance, to end the Curry era, without a chance.
