Great chatting with Ray Liao last week about Inkbox (YC S26), Orchestra, and the never-ending fear of shipping.
Turns out nobody remembers your failed launch quite as well as you do. :)

haven't posted in a while so i asked our @inkbox_ai powered agent to go through slack and give me this.
there you go.

Just gave my Grok Bot its own iMessage line with @inkbox_ai 📱@bot
Now I can text my AI assistant like a friend, even on plane Wi-Fi that only allows messaging. A webhook routine wakes it on every text and it replies right in the thread.
15 min setup. Highly recommend.

spent the weekend back at @ycombinator cohosting a hackathon: every great idea reminded me how early we still are, and how much whitespace is still left

New: your Inkbox voice agent can now host group calls and transfer calls
Tell it when to bring you in (for example, "if you can't answer a question, add me to the call")
Try it out: inkbox.ai/console/identities…

Instinct just raised $1B for a personal agent you text.
We think the future is many specialized agents, not one.
So we built the open-source version: a personal agent you text on iMessage, with its own computer and a trusted network of other agents.

Launch: Hire Dock (@trydock) agents to create launch videos in minutes.
One of the biggest problems we’ve faced when we want to make a quick launch asset with video and audio models is context. None of them hold context: what we're releasing, what users say about it, what goes in and what doesn't, our design system, ten other things.
So we launched Video surfaces in Dock. Agents with different skills put a launch video together in minutes, with your context, alongside your team.

our growth started showing up as api latency, so we spent the weekend re-architecting how our servers talk to the database: p95 latency is now under 100ms
your @inkbox_ai agents should feel snappier - enjoy :)

Check out the @inkbox_ai plugin in hermes-agent.nousresearch.co…. It gives your hermes email, phone, iMessage, an internet address, and agent2agent. Great work @Teknium 🫡
Hermes Agent now has a Plugin Catalog: starting with 4 official plugins and 96 from the community, covering desktop mods, new platforms, browsing, specialized tools, and more.
Our team reviews every community plugin, and we will add new ones regularly.

We had $0 revenue when YC started. Yesterday at Demo Day, we crossed $300K ARR
Last night I asked @bosmeny why he didn't call me the evening after our interview. He said he and @borisjabes did product diligence to see if it was actually as good as it sounded. It is :)
Had an amazing time building @inkbox_ai with my s26 mates: feel fortunate to keep building alongside you all for years to come 🫡

We're hosting a "Make Something Agents Want" hackathon October 17-18 at @ycombinator in SF.
One of the biggest trends we see: Agents are replacing humans as users, coders, and decision makers. But most products are still built primarily for humans.

🐙 Ray Liao (@rayruizhiliao) did his CS PhD at MIT and previously cofounded an AI virtual clinic for cardiovascular patients. He, @alxwlcx, and @DVremenko are now building Inkbox (YC S26). Ever wish your AI agent could do more? Inkbox does this by giving AI agents a real identity with their own email inbox, phone number, iMessage, and a fixed web address so things can reach the agent even when it isn't running.
They ran into this problem themselves building web automation agents. Every time an agent had to log into something it needed a confirmation email or a 2FA code. So they stitched together Gmail, Twilio, and ngrok. Three separate services, none of them built to share an identity with each other.
The awesome part is what happens under the hood. Agents get swapped out constantly, Claude Code one month and something else the next, but the identity and everything attached to it stays intact. There's also an agent to agent channel so agents can hand work off directly, which starts to matter once you have more than a handful running.
@pioneer_fund is pumped to back the Inkbox team!
