The most powerful thing you can do in your home is to surround yourself with old power. This is goated AF
Michael Jackson spent about $500,000 on 2 vases in 1 shop visit, and the manager wouldn't say how many millions he'd spent in total. The scene shows spending turning into a habit instead of a purchase. He walks the store marking what he already owns, asks the clerk to write down what he wants next, and says he already has the space. At that point he isn't choosing, he's following a list. Buying becomes a routine that feels like progress, and the stuff piles up faster than anyone can use it. The reporter's remark that a dealer could retire on 1 client is the business insight here. A single buyer with no price sensitivity can carry a whole shop, which is why the manager was glad to bargain, flatter, and keep quiet about totals. When one customer is that valuable, the seller's job is to keep him comfortable. Look at the taste, too. He compares his house to an emperor's, and the shop owner says he bought about 80% of the stock. Surrounding yourself with the look of old power is an attempt to buy a feeling of permanence, and it is a feeling that more purchases can't finish. That's the cost. Spending that never reaches "enough" turns into a hole, and the only winner is the person ringing it up. The more you buy to feel finished, the less finished you feel.

Ever notice that in Dune humans fly spaceships between planets but don't use a single computer? That's not a plot hole. It's completely on purpose. The movies barely explain why, but once you know, almost everything else in Dune starts to make sense. About 10,000 years before Paul Atreides, humans did exactly what we're doing right now. They built thinking machines to make life easier. They let the machines do their work and make their decisions, hoping it would set them free. Instead, the people who controlled those machines gained the power to enslave everyone else. Humanity eventually fought back in a holy war called the Butlerian Jihad, and won. The thinking machines were destroyed. To make sure it would never happen again, they made one rule sacred: "Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind." But getting rid of computers created a problem: who would do their work? The answer was humans. Mentats are trained from childhood to think like computers. Navigators use the spice to glimpse the future and steer ships safely through space. The Bene Gesserit spend generations pushing the human mind and body to their limits. Every superpower in Dune exists for one reason: there are no computers. That's my favorite thing about Dune. It's also the most terrifying. Dune isn't a future without AI. It's the future after AI. Frank Herbert wrote that in 1965.

AFFIRM I shall seek knowledge without arrogance, prosperity without greed, strength without cruelty, and spiritual understanding without losing my humanity. I shall cultivate the light within myself so that others may remember the light within them. I shall not claim the place of the Divine, but strive to honor creation through the life I lead and the good I leave behind. And as I ascend, I shall remember that the true measure of my progress is not simply how high I have risen, but how many lives I have helped improve along the way I shall rise, not to stand above others, but to extend my hand further.

People told me I should act since I’d be a good one. A good actor? I’d be a great one.. The only character I will ever play will be Napoleon Bonaparte. I will LARP sooo immensely divine that people will believe that I’m the reincarnated Emperor.

I log out of twitter for a few hours and people are freaking out over this mercury retrograde πŸ˜‚ Guys, avoid it all. IF you give that particular focus and energy into anything. Yes it will have power over you. The only thing you need to pay attention to is the communication. everything else is just noise. I hope this helps, namaste πŸ™πŸ½

This is actually useful for everyone, but if you are a 7 LP, your greatest skill to have in making money is (time management) it's so simple but think about it. Would you rather be watching a badass show or using your time properly in achieving great wealth? #Kronos #DevourerOfTime

β€œExtraterrestrials created a being 2,000 years ago to teach humanity about love and nonviolence.” Linda Moulton Howe recalls reading this in a classified document in 1983. When she asked if it meant Jesus Christ, the intelligence officer silently nodded yes.
