Did you know that the H in ADHD stands for Halaal? #SouthAfrica ❤️
Look at their stance on the Genocide
It's Interesting that The Kosher Certification For Jews in South Africa which is similar to Halal Is also on many many Products , it sits side by side halal certified logo on the product yet Somehow there is no outrage from the Paid South african accounts on X but they Pushing this hate against Halal certified products Why...? 🤔😅
Yep
A lot of people think someone like me is over-reacting over the #Halaal certification topic since Muslims have been in this country for years. Some believe it is simply a food/item safety protocol that Muslims conduct to make sure that the food we eat is healthy and won't make us sick. That isn't what halaal certification is. So, am going to do a little summary of its main components.
1. Halaal means anything that is considered permissable in Islam as per the Quaran and Hadiths. It is a religious requirement, a component of Sharia Law which is the legal component of the Islamic religion. As a Muslim you can't engage with non halaal/haraam items be they food, music, certain books, clothing, household items etc. Sharia law and therefore halaal requirements shouldn't impact non Muslims. That's not islamaphobic or disrespectful to muslims, it is our religious right as non Muslims which the constitution protects.
2. Halaal entails the slashing of an animal's neck whilst it is alive and leaving them to bleed out. The person tasked to do this must be muslim as he must recite a prayer which includes Allah Akbar as they face Mecca. This is a problem if you belong to a different faith because now you are complicit in idol worship without knowing, which again, is a violation of non muslim religious rights. Other items must not have a trace of alcohol or pork derivative which is why 60-80% of items on the shelves of Shoprite/ Checkers, Woolies etc end up having to be Halaal acredited because if halaal foods come in contact with non halaal items they become contaminated. Meaning your toilet paper, juice, and even water must be subjected to these Muslim religious rituals without your consent.
3. Halaal isn't a standard for food safety in scientific terms which some think it is. It's not checking for bacteria or viruses or germs. It is simply making sure that pork and alcohol aren't ingredients or have not come into contact with the item or any ingredient that makes the item, therefore if you wanted bacon you will get macon etc. For food standards we have ISO standards that are used world wide and are scientific and make sure that our food and the household items we use are safe. That doesn't require a prayer to Allah facing Mecca. So, why make it a standard in a majority Christian country?
4. Halaal isn't free. The retailers pay for that certification and the cost is passed down to us the consumers. In a country with high unemployment and food insecurity it is curious as to why 98.8% of us non Muslims are subjected to this Halaal tax that we didn't ask for and frankly can't afford.
I don't care if Muslims want Halaal. It is their religious right protected by the constitution. I care however that 80% of the things I buy with my money is offered in a religious ritual to a god I don't prescribe to. I care that I am basically taxed to have Halaal shoved down my throat when I never asked for it nor need it. Non muslims, who are the majority must also be respected by Muslims and retailers. We are after all the majority and therefore the lionshare of your domestic revenue stream.
If there ever is a nation that can be easily manipulated by a psyop..
Its South Africans..
Coz a people that think Penuel and Vusi is top tier thinkers..
Easy to convince that Muslims are a problem, because guess who is protesting Israel the most here?
Calling the police on a 3 year old playing a game is insanity.
But the police actually acting on it, is even crazier.
Afrikaans must be halaal..

Isn't it interesting, all these videos of people we've never heard of, whose work is unknown, with no public archive or commentary on any issue, SUDDENLY appearing at the same time to bitch about Islam and halal food. In South Africa? In 2026? In the year of a local government election, suddenly mainly Black influencers and bots with black faces are recording Islamophobic commentary. For a fee no doubt. Who benefits from this? I hope @GovernmentZA is REALLY sharpening its lens on disinformation and paid campaigns. Deliberate manufacturing of religious and tribal hostility is a matter of national importance.
Replying to @zilevandamme
1. There is no “halal replacement of food.” Halal certification of packaged food has been practised in South Africa for decades & is voluntary. All the “halal-certified” label means is that the food products meet Islamic dietary requirements. Nothing is added to the food.
Dont bring logic to the hate
Halaal Slaughter: A brief religious invocation is recited:
Bismillah, Allahu Akbar - In the name of God, God is Most Great.
This invocation acknowledges God in the taking of an animal's life for sustenance. It is a religious observance performed during slaughter, not a spell.
Kosher Slaughter: Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech ha-olam, asher kidd'shanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivvanu al ha-shechita - Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us concerning ritual slaughter.
Again, this is a religious blessing associated with the slaughter process, not a ritual imposed upon the person who eventually consumes the meat.
Same Abrahamic God... As Christians, Jews, and Muslims all acknowledge the God of Abraham, invoking God's name over food shouldn't trigger an existential crisis. 😭😂

I've actually needed to mute the words "Muslim" and "Halaal" on this app because I don't know how people can have such an outcry over a non-issue purely to put their own Islamophobia on blast. It's sad. It's frustrating. This is not South Africa. There are outside forces at work.
Jirre...
Why does idiots have such a big platform..
Whats next "why do they put Vegan Friendly labels on packaging"
Hey @News24 if Halaal is not forced on us why must Oros be Halaal certified? How does that even make sense? Every product even toiletries are Halaal... remember we are majority Christian....we were never asked if we want this. But, what does anyone expect from liars parading as journalists🚮
