I tried to give a fuck. I really did but I’ve come to realize that I genuinely don’t and it’s probably better that way. If you don’t like that? Fuck you. If you think that’s negative? Maybe for you. For me, it’s a positive. Fuck you, positively. ❤️

Fear mongering with blatant misinformation should be grounds for suspension but instead it’s boosted on this app.

Not all positivity is healthy. Sometimes, positivity is just another way of telling someone their pain is inconvenient. Some of the people who pride themselves on positivity are the least available when someone needs them. Toxic positivity insists on a positive attitude regardless of what someone is experiencing. It’s telling someone to look on the bright side before they’ve even explained how dark things have gotten. It’s saying everything happens for a reason before they’ve made sense of what happened. It’s demanding gratitude when they’re grieving a loss. And it’s telling someone to stop being negative when all they’re doing is being honest. The problem isn’t positivity. The problem is using positivity to invalidate reality. I believe in gratitude, perspective, and choosing our responses even when we can’t choose events. But I also believe pain deserves acknowledgment before it deserves a lesson. And sometimes there isn’t a lesson yet. Sometimes something just fucking hurts. Sometimes someone hurts you and you don’t owe anyone an immediate lesson. Sometimes you’re angry because something mattered. Sometimes you’re sad because you lost something you loved. Sometimes you’re scared because you don’t know what comes next. None of those emotions mean you’re failing to maintain a healthy mindset. They mean you’re human. Toxic positivity becomes dangerous when it disguises itself as compassion… Someone says they’re struggling, and we rush to make them feel better. But whose discomfort are we actually trying to eliminate? Theirs? Or our own discomfort with witnessing someone else’s suffering? Sometimes telling someone to cheer up is less about helping them and more about wanting them to stop expressing emotions we don’t know how to sit with. You can have good intentions and still make someone feel completely alone. I’ve spent years trying to understand my emotions, fears, pain, and reactions. You can’t understand something you’re always trying not to feel. I don’t want to pretend something doesn’t hurt because acknowledging it makes someone else uncomfortable. I don’t want to call something a blessing before understanding why it felt like a curse. Discussing pain doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate beauty. Gratitude and grief can coexist. Love and anger can coexist. Optimism and fear can coexist. Being grateful doesn’t mean you never get to complain. Being strong doesn’t mean you never get to struggle. And being positive doesn’t mean you have to lie to yourself. Real positivity is being able to look at something genuinely terrible without pretending it isn’t terrible, while recognizing that it doesn’t have to define everything afterward. It’s understanding that accepting reality and surrendering to it are two completely different things. It’s being able to tell someone, “I don’t know how this gets better, but I care about what you’re going through,” instead of offering rehearsed motivational bullshit. Sometimes the most loving thing you can offer another person isn’t encouragement. It’s understanding. I don’t need everyone telling me things are going to be okay. I need people willing to acknowledge when things aren’t okay without treating my honesty as a problem. Because emotional health isn’t about eliminating negative emotions. It’s about understanding what every emotion communicates without automatically allowing it to dictate your behavior. Even happiness can become unhealthy when we turn it into an obligation. The goal shouldn’t be to feel good about everything. The goal should be to become emotionally honest enough to experience anything without abandoning yourself. That’s the difference between positivity and toxic positivity. One helps you face reality. The other asks you to pretend reality is something else. And I’ll choose an uncomfortable truth over a comforting lie every time. You don’t have to find the bright side of everything to be someone who brings light into the world.

EVERY blogger was posting about surf ghostwriting. All the battlers. Everyone. But Cassidy comes out with this and it’s crickets. “When you up they wanna see you down” the culture hates how surf is above them. Crabs in a bucket.

The internet really presents you with the red pill or the blue pill everyday. Some forget you can take both, or neither. Get control of your mind.

It’s crazy seeing everyone turn on surf. Mook, goodz, lux, eazy. What’s something in common with all of them? They try and make music and it never goes anywhere. They all have a subconscious hate for surf cuz he went places they will never go MUSICALLY.
