Over the weekend, we got to catch up with our casting director, Lauren Herrel @IAmIncognit0o. She's based in Los Angeles, but she's currently working on a horror film to be shot in Wilmington!

The Madrid International Film Festival starts this Wednesday, July 20 -- giving European moviegoers their first chance to see OH CRAPPY DAY! What's more, we've been nominated for 6 awards, including Best Director, Outstanding Leading Actress, & Best English Language Feature Film!

Lucky 13! A script by our writer-director, Jon Lance Bacon, is a semi-finalist @safilm. The script, a murder mystery called FORESIGHT, has now been honored by 13 international festivals! This one will run Aug. 2-7 in San Antonio. For more info, click here: safilm.com

All kinds of films inspire us! Here are 3 movies (available @PrimeVideo) that influenced OH CRAPPY DAY: "What's Up, Doc?" has a strong female lead, while "The Aviator" deals with severe OCD, & "Hello, My Name Is Doris" addresses mental health issues in a romantic storyline.

If you want your cinematic world to look "lived in," you need lots of background performers. Fortunately, we had a great group for OCD -- always upbeat and enthusiastic! Here are some more of these performers, along with the scenes in which they appear. ohcrappydayfilm.com/rentbuy

In a scene highlighting his fear of contamination, Jared (@jordanmestes) has to navigate a restaurant packed with people. Our background performers, who filled the restaurant for two shooting days, make this scene work! To rent or buy our film, click here: ohcrappydayfilm.com/rentbuy

We're proud to spotlight our background performers, who helped us populate the world of our film. In total, we had about 140 performers, some of whom appeared in more than one scene. When you watch OH CRAPPY DAY, see if you can spot them in the background! ohcrappydayfilm.com/rentbuy

Our music goes live! Chris Hendricks performs our theme song, “My Mama Said,” before an avid audience @NCmuseumhistory. Along with @TrevorBumgarner & @AndreDiMuzio, Chris composed the OH CRAPPY DAY score, & he sings “My Mama Said” over the end credits. youtu.be/STNWwZi92TY

For the song that opens our movie, we wrote & recorded a bouncy retro tune. “My Mama Said” pays tribute to the Motown sound of the early 1960s, with @jeremyxxjones emulating the vocal stylings of that era! youtu.be/kTzDBV-balE

We're devoting this week to the music in our film: an original score by a talented group of composers & performers. @TrevorBumgarner, a key member of our composing team, will kick things off tomorrow by hosting Takeover Tuesday. Join him on Instagram, on our OH CRAPPY DAY page!

We appreciate everyone who has helped us create, distribute, & promote OH CRAPPY DAY. As we celebrate Thanksgiving next week, we'll be taking a short break from posting -- but you & your family can still watch our film online! Click here to get started: ohcrappydayfilm.com/rentbuy

Will this line of dialogue become a classic movie quote? With any luck, "Oh, yuck!" may someday join the ranks of "Rosebud," "Plastics," and "I'll have what she's having." In the meantime, you can rent or purchase OH CRAPPY DAY online. Click here to start: ohcrappydayfilm.com/rentbuy
