When 1 in 10 Toronto residents rely on a food bank, and 35% of food bank users hold multiple jobs, we need to do more to address the root causes of food insecurity and unaffordability. With the team at Daily Bread Food Bank, we discussed long-term solutions to prevent seniors from becoming unhoused, and the need to replace the incarceration of unhoused people with humane, evidence-based solutions. We need to ensure everyone has access to appropriate food and housing to live with dignity. Thank you to Neil Hetherington and the entire team at Daily Bread Food Bank for your incredible work.
